The Book

Part 14 -The book-
At the time you're laying looking up at the stars trying to forget about all the stress you're having, but to add to that you have to hide your cut from Newt. They walk over to find you and you shoot up in your seat surprised to see them. "Oh um, Thomas, Newt" you jump. Newt gives you a big smile, Thomas just stops for a second and stares at you thinking about what Teresa told him. "Come on Tommy, you're so out of it lately" Newt chuckles. They both sit down beside you and Newt finds the page for 'wall stinger infection'. "Ah here we go" Newt suddenly breaks the silence after finding the right page.  "you can get wall stinger infection by, its where the maze changes, there's stingers on the walls to stop you getting through" he stops. Thomas looks scared, and you're just confused. "And if you get it in a wound or something it can make you really badly ill and you'll slowly die a painful death over about a week" he stops again. Thomas looks at newt with a horrified expression. "What? It's what the book says?" He tells Thomas. Thomas stands up and grabs your hand, "y/n can I talk to you quick". You shoot up and follow him into the darkness of the field. "What was that about, that infection sounds horrific" you gag a little. Thomas puts his hand over his face just trying to process everything. "Yea, and you might have it" he shouts. You are just about to talk back to him when you feel a stabbing pain in your stomach, you lean fowards holding where the cut is. "Get newt.." your voice quietens a little. You fall fowards and clasp your hand on his arm. Thomas slowly lowers you to the floor where you lay in agony waiting for Newt. "Newt quick" Thomas panics, him and Newt run back to you, and see you laying on the floor now. "y/n, stay with me, you're okay" newt tries to tell you. Your vision is starting to go fuzzy, and you can only just make out Newt holding your hand. "Newt... Is that... You" you ask. "Yea it's me" he smiles whilst picking you up off of the floor and bringing you to medical. "What's... Whats going on" you struggle to ask. But no one answers you, meanwhile Thomas waits outside in guilt, why did he let you go in the maze?*
