Part 37 -trying to stay alive- (1)
Everyone stops and stands quietly waiting for something terrible to happen. "Shit" newt shouts, a greiver runs out the front door. "Everyone into the forest!!" Thomas yells. Everyone goes there but they run back the other way, a griver had gone that way too. Newt and you still holding hands run together, "into the long grass!" Minho shouts and you all crouch down. Teresa joins you. "I think it's gone" she whispers, but then a mechanical arm dives behind you and grabs Zart. Everyone else gets up and runs the opposite direction. Newt sees Alby waving, "guys in here!!" He shouts to you all. Everyone goes into the meeting hut and barricades the doors. "Where's Chuck!" You worry. "Here" he says coming next to you. Then you hear that noise again, the clanking of the griever. "Shh everyone stay silent" you say. Then, one of its legs dives through the roof and grabs Chuck. "Chuck no! I got you!" Thomas grabs his legs. Alby grabs something sharp and chops off the grivers leg. "Thank you Alby" Chuck smiles in relief. "Dont- " Alby gets cut off by being picked up by another leg . "No Alby!!" Thomas yells and ties to get him but can't keep holding on. "Keep everyone safe Thomas" he shouts. And no one knew that would be the last thing he would ever say to them all, he was gone. Thomas bashes open the door and you all see what a mess it is, fire everywhere, the beds are destroyed, the medical room is crushed, the crops are gone. "Come on let's go over to the box!" You shout as an idea. Everyone follows you over there, and when you get there you see the frypans cooking room, "in there!" Newt shouts. You all squeeze in there and sit huddled together. "We're gonna be okay" you hope and lean on newt. "We'll just have to stay in here for a while, I guess" you look around.
