*Katsu's Pov*
Bored... So fucking bored. I'm just laying on my bed with nothing to do. I decided to call up Cassidy who had a house phone so she gave me her number. Within three rings she answered.
"Hello?" Cassidy said.
"Hey it's Katsu" I said.
"Oh hey what's up?" Cassidy said.
"Nothing really. Just bored out of my mind" I said. Cassidy giggled on the phone.
"Wouldn't surprise me" Cassidy said. I thought for a second.
"Hey can I ask you something?" I said.
"What is it?" Cassidy said.
"I'm just wondering will I be able to stay at your place for the night? I've got nothing else better to do and Muru can be a bit too clingy" Katsu said. She was silent for a minute.
"Yeah you can stay for the night. But none of that shit on the Fieldtrip! That was kinda scary" Cassidy said.
"No no no I won't do that I swear!" I said.
"Hehe good. Come over whenever you're ready. Anyways I'll see you when you get here" Cassidy said.
"Yeah see you later" I said. Cassidy hung up and I did as well. I packed the things I will only need for the night or what I wanted to bring. I checked the time. 4:30pm the time said. I got my things and started heading to Cassidy's house. When I got there I knocked on her door. She opened it letting me in.
"There's a guest bedroom upstairs if you want to sleep up there or there is the couch as well" Cassidy said. I nodded and headed upstairs to the guest room. I put my stuff in there and then came back downstairs to see Cassidy playing BTD5 on her tablet. I sat beside her and grabbed out my phone and started playing BTD5 as well. When Cassidy noticed we ended up playing together and we almost completed all of the challenges with each other's help.
"You want something to eat for dinner Katsu?" Cassidy asked.
"Yeah whatever you have. I'm not picky when it comes to food" I said. Cassidy went into the kitchen and she took fifteen minutes to make us dinner. She set it down infront of me, it was Fried Turkey with seasoning on it. I took a bite out of it and I was immediately in heaven. Holy shit this tastes good!
"Wow! This tastes amazing!" I said. Cassidy blushed.
"T-Thanks. I didn't think you would notice" Cassidy said.
"Are you kidding? This is the best cooking I've tasted in my life!" I said still eating my food.
"Yeah it's weird how I'm a cartoonist but yet I can sing a little and cook?" Cassidy said.
"Wait you can sing?" I said.
"Yeah but I only sing when I feel like it. I mostly do drawing which is why I chose to be a cartoonist" Cassidy said.
"Can you sing for me?" I asked.
"Huh? I-I don't know" Cassidy said.
"Come on I won't ask again after please!" I begged like some desperate homeless guy. Cassidy giggled and then sighed.
"I guess but I'll only sing what I know" Cassidy said. I nodded. She started singing Chandelier from Sia her own way and holy shit her voice was beautiful. The way she could stay in tune and the way she sounded gave me goosebumps. Once she was done I clapped rapidly.
"That was awesome! I don't understand why you were never apart of any bands" I said.
"I-I'm not good around strangers. Besides, I would've gotten judged" Cassidy said.
"I don't judge you" I said.
"I know" Cassidy said. Cassidy suddenly stood up.
"I'm going to bed. Goodnight" Cassidy said.
"Okay night Cass" I said. She walked upstairs and I did as well going to my guest room. I got some pyjamas out and changed. I turned out the light and fell asleep. 4 hours later I suddenly woke up to hear crying. I checked the time. 12:00am it said. I got up to investigate and I saw the bathroom door opened. I went to the door and opened to see Cassidy's wrists, hands, legs and feet bleeding everywhere and she was holding a knife. She looked towards the door and I realised that one of her eyes were pink.
"Katsu! What are you d-doing in here?!" Cassidy cried.
"What did you do?" I asked in worry.
"Get out!" Cassidy shouted. I refused and walked in with Cassidy moving away from me.
"D-Don't look at me!" Cassidy said in tears. All of a sudden I could see her slash her wrists again with the knife making them bleed even more.
"Cassidy stop!" I said.
"I-I can't!" Cassidy said pressing the knife against her arm again. I ran to her and pulled the knife out of her hand. I reached for her arms.
"N-No! D-Don't look!" Cassidy said. I didn't listen and I grabbed her arms. What the fuck? Her hands, wrists and forearms were bleeding and had scars on them. I checked her legs and she has scars there too, from her feet to her knees. Cassidy was sobbing as she sat in a pool of blood. Her nightgown dirtied with blood.
"You self harmed?" I said. She nodded weakly.
"Why?" I asked.
"I-It's punishment for m-myself! W-Whenever Opal took control of me and killed, I would count how many victims she killed and I would cut myself to represent how many victims she has taken the lives o-of" Cassidy sobbed.
"How long have you been doing this for?" I asked.
"2 years" Cassidy said. I gasped. Holy shit she could've killed herself by how much blood she had loss from this! I hugged her tightly and she stiffened in my grasp.
"W-What are you-" Cassidy sniffled.
"Please stop doing this Cass. I hate to see you suffer and hurting yourself isn't the solution. You'll kill yourself if this keeps happening" I said.
"I-I didn't think you would care. No one has ever cared for me. Most people have told me to kill myself so that's what I'm doing. But... I-I'm punishing myself in the process as I'm making my death slow and painful" Cassidy said. I widen my eyes at her statement.
"Cassidy look at me" I said. She looked at me weakly. I noticed that she wasn't wearing her glasses but she still looks like a mess like this.
"I'm going to help you. Even if you object I'll make sure you don't hurt yourself anymore or even think it" I made her look me in the eyes.
"I want you to think positive and not negative ok? Just think how much we will have together being friends! I promise you Cassidy. I will never leave your side. Ever" I said. She hugged me and sobbed into my chest once again and I hugged her. Once she was done she got up.
"I'll go clean myself up" Cassidy said. I nodded and I cleaned up her bathroom from the blood. When I finished I saw Cassidy come back in with a med kit as she tried to clean her wound but she dropped the bottle as she cringed from the pain. She was breathing heavily.
"I-I can't do this!" Cassidy cried.
"Here I'll help you" I said. I picked up the bottle and I grabbed her arm gently, applying the moisture to her wounds as she would cry in pain every single time.
"I-It hurts!" Cassidy cried.
"It's ok. Just relax" I said. I then bandaged her hands to where the scars were and I did the same for her other arm and her legs. Once done I put the stuff back in the med kit.
"Here, go change your nightgown" I said. She nodded. I walked out of the bathroom turning the light off. She didn't come out of her room for awhile so I decided to check on her to see her in a fresh nightgown and sleeping peacefully in her bed. I sighed knowing that she was able to sleep. I went back to my guest room and got back in bed. I fell asleep thinking about what I'll plan with Cassidy to make sure she stays happy. After all, that gives Opal an Bailey an advantage to toture her more. That I cannot allow.
