Chapter 22: Cassidy's Nervous Breakdown

*Katsu's Pov*
I was waiting in the classroom hoping that Cassidy will come to school today. I haven't mentioned me kissing her at all to anyone, especially Muru. When I saw her enter puffed out she apologised for being late and went to her seat. I smiled at her and she smiled back but blushed a little probably remembering yesterday. We started to do our work and I could feel Muru's eyes on me. Alex/ Amber was not around again and we knew the reason why. I was counting down the days until the blood moon and I'm pretty sure Cassidy was too which probably terrified her. I sighed.

When class was over we walked out for our break. Muru came up to us well me specifically probably wondering if we're friends or not.

"So Katsu uh... Are we still friends?" Muru asked. I sighed again.

"Fine. But no funny business though" I said. She smiled and nodded and sat next to me making sure she doesn't hug me and get into my personal space. Cassidy was eating her chips and sandwich while I ate something that was traditional to my family, Tofu. Muru had her usual healthy lunch with fruits and salad. Muru looked at Cassidy probably tempted to ask her those questions about the changing. Cassidy yawned a little and sketched on her iPad for a little until we had to head back to class.

Vanessa tried her shit again with Cassidy and I'm honestly getting real sick of this bitch. Cassidy tried her best to ignore her and stay calm but she couldn't and snapped standing up and storming to her desk. She slammed her gloved hands against her wooden desk glaring at her.

"Do you really want to test me bitch?" Cassidy questioned. Vanessa huffed.

"Like you'd hit me in front of the whole class" Vanessa taunted. Cassidy raised an eyebrow and growled as we all watched her.

"What's the matter you too scared to do it in front of witnesses?" Vanessa taunted again.

"Vanessa stop with this nonsense! Cassidy go back to your seat!" The teacher said. The next comment made Cassidy lose her shit and I could tell by the look in her eyes that it affected her a lot.

"I hope someone kidnaps you and kills you cause you're a piece of shit" Cassidy turned and grabbed Vanessa's desk and threw it to the side and she pounced on her, knocking her off of her chair and punching her several times in the face. Christie tried to get involved but she was instantly knocked to the ground when Cassidy kicked her in her knee caps. I got up and pulled Cassidy off of Vanessa who was all bloody in the face. Heh serves her right. I thought. Cassidy breathed heavily and the teacher was horrified.

"Let me go Katsu" Cassidy said.

"You're not gonna attack her again?" I asked. She shook her head and I let her go slowly as she wiped the sweat off of her forehead. She looked at the teacher.

"I'll excuse myself" Cassidy said walking out of the classroom not realising that she forgot her things. Vanessa stood up weakly and the class stared at her in shock.

"Christie take you and Vanessa to the nurses office" The teacher said. Christie nodded getting up slowly and helped Vanessa out. I sat back down and packed up Cassidy's things for her just in case someone tries to steal her things. I waited until classes were over to go and find Cassidy and bring her stuff to her. When I did she was panting and shaking at the back of the school where no one usually goes.

"Cassidy are you alright? You forgot your stuff so I brang them for you" I said. Cassidy turned and suddenly tackled me to the ground and hugged me tightly as I blushed.

"I-I don't want to die Katsu... I-I'm scared..." Cassidy shakily said. Wait she doesn't want to die?

"Really?" I questioned. She looked at me with teary eyes and nodded.

"Y-You've made me realise t-that I'm worth something... that I can d-defend myself and have confidence... you are the person w-who I want to live for a-and fight for to protect you..." Cassidy said the last part blushing and looking away. I sat up and hugged her.

"Don't worry. You won't die. I won't let you die understand? Opal and Bailey might be demons but that doesn't mean you should be afraid of them" I said. Cassidy sniffled and nodded hugging me more. I kept blushing as she was very tiny compared to my stature.

"H-How many more days until the blood moon?" Cassidy asked.

"One day left..." I said now realising how close it is until I see Opal and Bailey for myself.

"One day..." Cassidy paused and stood up wiping the tears from her eyes and looked at me.

"I will not be afraid of them. I shouldn't be afraid of them. I'll prove them wrong" Cassidy said.

"Yes you will" Alex/ Amber said coming out of no where.

"Jesus Alex dont do that" I said.

"Sorry but I need to have a word to both of you especially Cassidy" they said. We nodded and I stood up.

"Tomorrow is the blood moon. Are you guys prepared?" Alex/ Amber asked.

"Not really but I won't back down" I said.

"Same" Cassidy said.

"Alright now I must tell you both something about Cassidy" Alex said.

"Wait about me?" Cassidy said confused. Alex nodded.

"Yes and it's something that you don't know about" Alex said. We looked at eachother.

"Okay what is it then?" I asked.

"Cassidy has powers specifically telekinesis" Alex said. Cassidy blinked as did I.

"Wait what? How?" Cassidy asked confused.

"It's due to Opal and Bailey being in your necklace for too long. They don't know that them being in there too long would give you powers however it's controlled through your emotions so it might be hard to control" Alex said. Cassidy looked at her hands.

"Is there a way to control it?" Cassidy asked. Alex nodded.

"Yeah what you need to do is concentrate really hard and focus on your objective" Alex said. They pulled out an empty can and placed it on the ground.

"Here try it out" They said. Cassidy nodded and took a deep breath. She stared at the can and I could see the concentration in her eyes. Her eyes started glowing neon pink and the can started to float with a pink glow around it. Cassidy was shocked at she saw the can float because of her power.

"Oh my god" Cassidy said. Alex smiled.

"Well done Cassidy. Make sure you control it well. You're power could help you and Katsu" Alex said. Cassidy nodded and placed the can back down on the ground.

"Well I'll see you guys tomorrow though you won't recognise me" Alex said disappearing. I looked at Cassidy abs she looked at me.

"That power is amazing Cass" I said.

"Thanks I didn't know I had this power" Cassidy said.

"Well guess Opal and Bailey were not as smart as they thought" I said. Cassidy nodded. I sighed holding her hand and she blushed.

"You ready for this?" I asked. Cassidy sighed.

"I'm as ready as I can be. You sure you want to do this? I know your way bigger then me but you still get scared I know you do" Cassidy said.

"Cass. The only thing I'm afraid of is letting you face them by yourself and losing you" I admitted. Cassidy became best red.

"O-Okay. Well let's just go home and prepare for tomorrow" Cassidy said. I nodded and walked her home.
