Chapter 20: Confession

*Katsu's Pov*
The next day I got a message from Cassidy saying that she was staying home because her mirror broke. I found it strange for a second and I hoped that she didn't get hurt.

When I got to school I saw Muru staring at me and I ignored her. She walked up to me and grabbed me.

"Can I talk to you Katsu?" Muru asked.

"Is it about Cassidy?" I asked. She shook her head and I turned to her.

"I know we've broken up and everything but do you think we could still be friends?" Muru said.

"I don't know. I'll have to think about it" I said. Muru frowned but nodded. Muru walked off and I started heading to the locker room. When I got to the locker room I opened my locker to see a note.

Your so dead when we come for you Katsu! ~Opal

Heh I'd like to see her try. I thought. I ripped up the note and chucked it out. The bell rung and then I went to class.

*Time Skip*
When it reached recess I sat under a tree thinking about Cassidy. I imagined her happy face and I had flashbacks of our times together. When I saw her cutting herself, saw her punch Vanessa in the jaw, her laughing and smiling and more. I blushed madly and I looked down. These feelings are getting out of hand. I shook my head furiously to snap out of it. I started to eat and I got another message from Cassidy.

C: I might have to get a new mirror. There's no way I'll be able to fix this.
K: I could help you find a mirror if you want.
C: Really?!
K: Yeah.
C: 😃 I'd like your help! Thank you!
K: You're welcome, I'll be over after school.
C: Okay. Meanwhile I'll clean up the shards without cutting myself.
K: Alrightly then. See you later.
C: Yeah. See ya

I put my phone back in my pocket and finished eating until the bell rung.

*Time Skip*
It was after school and I was with Cassidy trying to find a mirror that she'd like to have.

"Hmmm do you like this one?" I asked pointing to one. Cassidy looked at it and sighed.

"I like it but I don't want anything too fancy" Cassidy said.

"I'm pretty sure having one fancy thing in your house won't hurt" I said. Cassidy looked at me and then the mirror. She smiled a little.

"Yeah I guess you're right" Cassidy said. I grabbed the mirror for her, considering I am taller, and we went to the counter. She payed for the mirror and they got some people to put the mirror in for her. She thanked them and smiled a little.

"You know what? It doesn't look to bad actually" Cassidy said. I smiled.

"See? I told you, you will like it" I said.

"Yeah!" Cassidy said. I then had an idea.

"Hey. Would you like to have a picnic with me?" I asked.

A/N: Don't judge me! I couldn't think of anything else XD!

"Sure" Cassidy said. She grabbed a checkered picnic spread that we could sit on and she started making the food. I got the drinks and we put them in a basket. Once we were ready we started heading to the park but I didn't realise it was getting dark.

"You sure you still want a picnic? It's getting dark" Cassidy said.

"Meh. The nighttime will not stop us from hanging out" I said. Cassidy laughed.

"You're such a goofball" Cassidy said. I chuckled and we found a spot to set up. Once we sat down we started eating and Cassidy killed a bug.

"Fucking mosquitos" Cassidy mumbled. I kept eating as I stared at Cassidy looking at the night sky. The moon and stars light reflecting off her face. The shine made her eyes look like they were glowing.

"The night sky is always so beautiful isn't it?" Cassidy questioned.

"Yes. Yes it is" I said. The wind blew through Cassidy hair which made her hair seem even longer then it actually is. Once we finished eating we started packing up. I grabbed the basket and Cassidy rolled up the blanket. My heart was beating really fast and I couldn't help myself.

"Cassidy..." I said. I walked towards her and as soon as she turned I kissed her on the lips. I then soon feel her hand connect with my face really hard. Once I looked at her she had tears in her eyes and was shaking.

"Why'd you do that?" Cassidy asked shakily.

"I-I'm so sorry Cass!" I quickly said.

"You don't know how it feels to be bullied your entire life, betrayed by your family and raped in your life!" Cassidy cried. She then ran off.

"Wait Cassidy! I didn't mean to!" I shouted. I stood there adazed. She was bullied, betrayed and raped? When did all that happen? I decided to try and find her and I happen to find her crying in her room at her house. She seemed scared. I climbed through the window and Cassidy noticed me.

"Please! Stay away from me!" Cassidy cried.

"I'm not going to hurt you and do whatever you think I'm going to do to you" I said placing the basket on her bed. Cassidy tried to move away from me but I had hugged her.

"I'm sorry. I really am sorry... I didn't know all that shit happened to you... Can you forgive me?" I asked. Cassidy suddenly hugged me back.

"I know you are... I-I just got scared because... It reminded me of my past" Cassidy sobbed in my shoulder. I let go of her.

"Do you want to talk about it?" I asked. She nodded and started explaining everything. I was so heartbroken. She's literally been through hell.

"I'll let you in on a secret that I have. You remind me of my sister" I said. Cassidy looked at me confused.

"You have a sister?" Cassidy questioned as she wiped her face.

"Yeah. But it's been a long time since I've seen her" I said.

"Oh. I'm so sorry. What's her name?" Cassidy asked.

"Kiyomi" I said. Cassidy looked down.

"That's a pretty name" Cassidy said.

"Yeah. But now that you've told me your past I shall now tell you mine" I said. Cassidy looked at me.

"I'm all ears" Cassidy said.
