Chapter 18: Suspicion

*Katsu's Pov*
We were currently eating dinner at Cassidy's place. She even invited my parents over as well.

"Mmmmm this food is delicious Cassidy!" Mum said.

"Thanks. I learned how to cook by myself is all" Cassidy said.

"No offence mum but I think her omelette is better then yours" I said. Mum raised her eyebrow.

"Hey come on guys. It's not a competition. I just like cooking" Cassidy said.

"No need to get so worked up darling. Katsu might be saying that because he's her friend, or maybe something more" Dad said. I blushed.

"Dad please don't" I said. Cassidy was blushing but kept eating. My phone beeped and it was a message from Muru.

M: Where are you???
K: I'm with my parents having dinner.
M: After that can you meet me in the park.
K: Why?
M: Just do it...
K: Sorry but I can't. I have to study.
M: For what?
K: Test
M: Fine I'll come over there then.
K: No don't.

"Katsu stop texting on your phone. It's rude" Mum said.

"It was Muru wasn't it?" Dad said.

"Yeah. She wants me to meet her in the park but I told her no" I said.

"You can't. You said you have to study with Cassidy for a test" Mum said.

"I know but Muru doesn't listen and she said she's coming over" I said. Dad sighed.

"She'll try to find you regardless" Dad said. Cassidy stayed silent as she had an idea on why Muru wants me.

"We should be heading back before Muru finds out that we're not home" Mum said.

"Take my phone. She'll try to track it if I'm not there" I said handing them my phone.

"That's odd of you Katsu. You don't want your girlfriend to find you?" Dad said. I looked down.

"I'm starting to lose feelings for her..." Is all I said. My parents looked at eachother and Cassidy looked at my in shock.

"I see. Well we should go now. It was nice seeing you again Cassidy. Hope to do this again" Mum said.

"Sure thing" Cassidy said. Mum put my phone in her bag and they left leaving me and Cassidy alone. Cassidy finished up as did I and she grabbed our plates and put them in the sink.

"You're losing feelings in Muru. Why?" Cassidy asked.

"She's become too clingy and I think of her as a friend now honestly" I said.

"Oh. Are you going to tell her this?" Cassidy asked.

"I'm not sure. I don't want to break her heart" I said.

"But you can't keep it a secret eithier" Cassidy said.

"I know" I said. She grabbed whatever remaining cutterly and plates and put them in the sink too.

"I'll do the dishes later. Right now we need to start studying" Cassidy said.

"Yeah. Let's do it" I said. Cassidy grabbed out her books and we went through what we had to study.

*Readers Pov*
Muru went to Katsu's house and knocked on the door. Greta opened the door.

"Hi Greta! Is Katsu home?" Muru asked.

"No darling. He's gone somewhere to study" Greta said.

"Oh. Do you know where he went?" Muru said.

"No I don't" Greta lied.

"Ok. Well it was nice to see you" Muru said walking off. Greta shut the door and went back into the lounge room. Muru walked away from the house and then whipped out her phone.

She tracked Katsu's phone which lead back to his house and she sighed. I guess I'll just talk to him tomorrow. But he's acting a little suspicious to me. Muru thought heading back home.

The next day Katsu was walking with Cassidy through the school and wherever they saw Muru, they would turn the other way. Muru noticed this. If they are going to avoid me then I'll just join their class.

Muru did that and Cassidy and Katsu noticed that when she sat behind them next to Alex. Alex had a feeling who this chick was.

"Hey what is that slutbag doing in here?!" Vanessa questioned the teacher.

"Language Vanessa. She is transferring from her class to this one" The teacher said. Vanessa growled and looked at Muru and then at Cassidy.

"I'm still coming after you Cassidy" Vanessa mouthed. Cassidy flipped he off and kept doing her test. Muru didn't have to do the test because she already did it in her other class. She tried to he their attention but they ignored her.

When it was break time Katsu and Cassidy sat together and Alex decided to join them. Muru decided to join them and sat next to Katsu. Everyone at the table went silent.

"Katsu can I talk to you?" Muru asked.

"About what?" Katsu said.

"I want to talk to you alone" Muru said. Katsu sighed and got up.

"I'll be right back" Katsu said. Cassidy and Alex nodded as they walked off.

"What do you want?" Katsu asked.

"When are we going to ask Cassidy those questions about yesterday?" Muru said. Katsu sighed.

"Why would you want to do that anyway?" Katsu asked.

"Because I want to know what the hell is going on. You're not telling me anything so I should just try to get answers myself!" Muru said raising her voice.

"Well chucking a trantrum is not going to help" Katsu said.

"Excuse me?" Muru said.

"You heard me. I don't want to hear anymore of this. Understand? It's really none of your business what is going on with Cassidy" Katsu said. Muru stared at him wide eyed as he was never like this to her.

Katsu walked back to the cafeteria and Muru just stood there tearing up a little. Why? When did you become such an asshole? But I still love you... When the bell rung she headed back to class.
