*Katsu's Pov*
The next day I got up and got ready for school. When I got there I saw Cassidy waiting for me but instead her hoodie was off so her long brown curly hair flowed from the wind.
"Katsu!" Cassidy called out and waved. I waved back walking to her.
"We have PDHPE all day today, and I hate all of the female uniforms in PE" Cassidy said.
"Why is that?" I asked.
"Well... They show off a lot of skin and there is nothing to cover up my bandaged arms and legs, and I always get bullied for it. I'm also self conscious about my body" Cassidy said.
"I'm sure you wouldn't look that bad" I said. Cassidy rolled her eyes. The bell rung and we went to roll call first and then went to PE. I got dressed into my PDHPE uniform which was a white shirt with black shorts and joggers. Some other guys wore a Riverina jacket with theirs. The girls came out but I didn't pay too much attention. As they marked the roll the teacher called out Cassidy's name.
"Cassidy?" The teacher called out. She waited.
"Cassidy?" The teacher repeated.
"She's not here miss!" Vanessa said. I turned to see Cassidy running towards us. I was shocked on how she looked like. Her hair was still down but she wore a white singlet top with the white PE skirt and white joggers and still wearing her necklace. You could see the bandages on her arms and legs, and honestly she looked better then the rest of the girls in the class as they looked slutty.
"Wait Cassidy is coming!" I shouted. Vanessa glared at me and I flipped her off. Cassidy was puffed out when she got to us.
"Where were you Cassidy?" The teacher asked.
"Sorry. But I was locked in the girls changing room by someone" Cassidy said facing Vanessa.
"Vanessa I know you did it so fess up!" The teacher shouted.
"But-" Vanessa was cut off.
"This is the third time I've had to tell you Vanessa. Detention at lunch today with me and we'll have an appointment with the principal about your behaviour" The teacher said. Vanessa groaned and Cassidy walked next to me.
"Now class. Today we are going to play baseball" The teacher said. She told us the rules and I ended up on the same team as Cassidy. We were the throwers first and when Cassidy caught the ball she slipped and fell. Some of the class laughed at her.
"Pipe it down everyone!" The teacher yelled. I helped Cassidy up and she threw the ball to Boggy who was the thrower. Then the teams switched sides so we were on the batting team now. Vanessa wouldn't stop making fun of Cassidy and Cassidy was getting annoyed.
"Don't fall over again Cassidy. You might break those petty glasses you got you blind cow!" Vanessa laughed.
"Shut it Vanessa!" The teacher yelled again. I could feel a dark aura coming from Cassidy. When it was her turn to bat Vanessa became the thrower. Fucking typical I thought. Vanessa made Cassidy miss two times as she didn't throw the ball properly. However I could see Cassidy getting ready for the third time and I could see her eyes turning pink but no one else noticed. Vanessa threw it one last time and Cassidy hit the ball super hard that it hit Vanessa in the head and then it when flying in the other direction. Cassidy started running as Vanessa told the others on her team to stop her. They tried to tackle her but she jumped over them and got to the first and then second base. The person who got the ball was running to us but was still a bit of distance from us. Cassidy had already reached the third base. Vanessa tried stopping Cassidy but Cassidy shoulder barged her out of the way and she made it back home along with the rest of the players who were on the bases. Cassidy was puffed out and she put one hand on her forehead.
"You okay?" I asked. She stood up straight.
"I'm fine. Opal nearly took full control just then" Cassidy said. Once we got our results our team had won that game and me and Cassidy high fived.
"You did well Cassidy. Keep it up" The teacher said.
"Thanks" Cassidy said. We were going back to the change rooms and me and Cassidy were chatting again.
"You know you don't look to bad in your PE clothes" I complimented Cassidy. She blushed.
"T-Thanks I guess" Cassidy said. I guess? Jeez she might find it awkward because I've got Muru as my girlfriend. It was lunchtime and I sat with Cassidy as she ate her sandwich as I did with mine as well. Everyday Cassidy is growing more confident with me and she is starting to open up more.
"You may not noticed but I don't sleep very often" Cassidy said.
"Really you don't?" I said.
"Yeah, because when I do I get nightmares and even when I struggle to sleep I have sleeping pills as well as antidepressants. I mostly stay up to do cartoons all night. It's the way I live" Cassidy said.
"Do you get money from being a cartoonist?" I asked casually.
"Yeah sometimes. If I put some of my artwork for sale I usually earn $500 for each, which is enough to help me pay rent for the house and food" Cassidy said.
"Wow I don't even earn that much! You're so lucky" I said.
"Yeah, I guess I am" Cassidy said scratching the back of her head. Once the bell rung we were heading back to PDHPE but we bumped into my girlfriend, Muru. Cassidy looked a little worried as Muru looked at her.
"Muru! What are you doing here?" I asked.
"Nothing! I'm just wondering if you'll like to hang out with me?" Muru asked excitedly.
"Sorry but I'm hanging out with Cassidy right now" I started. I could see Muru glaring at Cassidy.
"How about later?" I asked. Muru sighed.
"Fine. After school" Muru said. I nodded and me and Cassidy went back to PE.
