Chapter 17: The AfterMath

*Readers Pov*
It's been 2 hours since the changing happened again. Katsu was sitting in a chair next to Cassidy's bed. His phone rang for the fifth time due to Muru trying to gain answers about Cassidy. Katsu ignored it again but was starting to get annoyed at Muru. Jesus! Muru is a lot more annoying then normal.

Katsu looked at Cassidy who was breathing normally but still unconscious. Katsu blushed and leaned down and kissed her cheek, hoping that Cassidy didn't feel it. Cassidy... Please wake up. His phone rung again from Muru and he sighed. Katsu got up and went into the next room and answered his phone.

"Yeah?" Katsu said.

"Finally you answered. Apparently there's been 3 murders in town when Cassidy booked it" Muru said.

"Three?" Katsu said looking back at Cassidy's room.

"Yeah. Two had slit throats and the third had there guts everywhere" Muru said.

"You're not suspecting that Cassidy did it are you?" Katsu said trying to keep his composure.

"Well... I'm not sure. I mean, she probably wouldn't do something like that but who knows, the police don't even know who the murderer is" Muru said. Katsu sighed.

"Ok but that still doesn't mean that Cassidy is a suspect" Katsu said.

"True... It could've been anyone. It's just that the timing was bad" Muru said. Katsu thought for a moment.

"Where did they find the bodies?" Katsy asked.

"In an abandoned construction sight apparently" Muru said.

"Ok. Well I'm gonna go now. You probably have to go back to class. Thanks for the information" Katsu said.

"Your welcome. See you later then" Muru said. Katsu hung up.

*Meanwhile*
Cassidy slowly gained conscious and opened her eyes, her vision was blurry at first but it adjusted. Ugh my head... Cassidy held onto her head but noticed that she didn't have her gloves or hoodie on. She could hear a male talking in the other room. Katsu?

"Ok. Well I'm gonna go now. You probably have to go back to class. Thanks for that information" Katsu said. He must be on the phone to Muru I assume. Cassidy thought. Katsu then walked in to see Cassidy awake. He smiled and hugged her.

"I'm so glad your awake" Katsu said.

"Opal smashed my head against the wall. That's why I passed out" Cassidy said.

"Yeah. When I found you, you were on the ground covered in blood" Katsu said. Cassidy looked away.

"What happened? I heard about the murders. Let me guess, Opal?" Katsu questioned. Cassidy nodded.

"Yeah. She killed them and feasted off of them. That's why I was covered in blood. I'm sorry you had to see that" Cassidy said.

"It's ok. It wasn't your fault. Where did Opal kill these people?" Katsu asked.

"In an alleyway. But before I took over again, she teleported the bodies somewhere" Cassidy said.

"The abandoned construction sight" Katsu said.

"Oh" Cassidy said. Katsu sat on the bed.

"Look. Muru is getting suspicious of you. She's probably going to ask questions tomorrow" Katsu said. Cassidy frowned.

"She doesn't have to say anything" someone said. They looked up to see Alex/ Amber standing at the doorway.

"How did you know where I lived?" Cassidy asked.

"I'm a devil demon. I can sense where my sisters presence is. Anyways, this Muru chick does not need to know anything" Alex said.

"Even so. She's nosey and will try to gain info because of me" Katsu said.

"Why?" Alex asked.

"I'm her boyfriend and she's clingy as fuck" Katsu said.

"Oh. Still it's none of her business" Alex said.

"We got to tell her sooner or later don't we?" Cassidy questioned.

"I guess. But right now is not a good time" Alex said.

"Ok. By the way, why are you here in the first place?" Katsu asked.

"I gained info about Opal and Bailey's plan. They are planning to kill Cassidy when it's the blood moon. Which is the new moon but it's rare" Alex said.

"Do you know when this blood moon appears?" Katsu asked.

"In the next couple of weeks. So you'll have to think of something before then" Alex said.

"What about you?" Cassidy questioned.

"When it reaches the blood moon, I won't be able to help you as I'll be preparing to take Opal and Bailey" Alex said.

"Ok then" Katsu said.

"Good luck to the both of you, you're going to need it" Alex said as he walked out of the room.

"So. What are we going to do with Muru?" Cassidy asked.

"Not sure yet. I guess we'll just won't say anything to her hurt no matter what" Katsu said.

"But you're her boyfriend. Aren't you supposed to tell her everything?" Cassidy asked.

"Yes. But I'm willing to keep this between us Cassidy. Your my best friend and I couldn't betray you like that" Katsu said holding Cassidy's hand a little. Cassidy blushed.

"O-Ok" Cassidy stuttered. Cassidy got out of bed but leaned against the wall as she got dizzy.

"Careful" Katsu said.

"I'll be fine. I'm just trying to get something else to wear. All of my hoodies are dirty" Cassidy said walking to her wardrobe.

"I'll go to the kitchen then and give you privacy" Katsu said walking out. He got a glass of water and drank it. He then started thinking on what will happen if Muru found out that Katsu had feelings for Cassidy. She wouldn't be happy.

Katsu shook his head and blushed a little. He then heard footsteps and turned to see Cassidy wearing something different. She still wore the same pants and shoes but she wore a buttoned jacket and a beanie that showed off her hair more. She even had different coloured gloves.

"Wow" Katsu said.

"I don't wear this often..." Cassidy said.

"No I like it. It suits you" Katsu said. Cassidy smiled a little.

"Um would you like to stay for dinner? You can invite your parents if you want to" Cassidy asked.

"Sure. I'm pretty sure my parents would love to see you again anyways. I'll call them right now" Katsu said. Cassidy giggled and took some pain killers. What Katsu noticed is that the beanie Cassidy is wearing covers up her head bandage. Smart choice. He thought.
