"You can thank me now."
"How about no?"
Kaitlyn and I were now in her car driving home. I wasn't going to the hospital tonight because I was meeting up with Septimus in about an hour.
"I was the one that talked him into this! I knew how much you missed those brothers and Septimus was the only one I talk to. I haven't seen Spencer in a while."
"Neither have I."
Spencer became so much more mysterious after I pretty much dumped him. He was never around and I barely saw him in school or at lunch.
Kaitlyn pulled into my driveway. I climbed out of the car and thanked her.
I ran to my room and quickly changed into warmer clothes. Boots, sweat pants and a sweatshirt. Septimus didn't care what I looked like. And it was just a walk in the woods so what did I care?
I sat on the couch watching T.V. and eating chips for about two hours, waiting for the time that Sep told me to go to his house.
The time ticked by so slow. Why does that always happen? When you're really excited about something time seems to slow down so much and it really bugs me.
Soon enough it was the time and I sprang off of the couch and practically skipped out of the house to Sep's.
I knocked on the door and patiently waited.
The door opened to reveal a very surprised looking Sarah.
"Etta! Come in, come in! What a surprise to see you here! I missed you darling!"
She hugged me close and I hugged her back. She was a very nice lady and it was a shame I cut all communications from her too. But it had to be done. I was starting to get addicted to the Clark's and I needed some withdrawl.
"So who are you here for?" Sarah said as she pulled away from me.
"Septimus," I answered. "He asked me to hang out and I said yes. I thought it was finally time to see all of you again."
Sarah beamed at me. "That's great honey! I'm glad you're back. Come into the kitchen. I have some brownies that are to die for. Seth made them. The first time he's baked in a while."
I followed her to the kitchen but I was stopped in my tracks at the living room when my eyes met one of the couches.
There was Spencer. With another girl. Lips locked. Both of their hands roaming everywhere.
My stomach churned unpleasantly and I suddenly was not in the mood for brownies anymore.
Not wanted to disturb the couch scene I quickly caught up to Sarah and whispered to her.
"I'm just going to find Septimus. I don't feel good right now. I'll see you later."
Her eyes turned sad as she probably realized what I saw. She nodded her head and turned around, into the kitchen.
I walked past the living room and managed to make it to the stairs without being noticed. I climbed the steps to Sep's room to tell him I was here.
I don't know why I felt sick. I wasn't jealous or anything. It's just that it kind of hurt to see him move on so quickly. OK OK maybe I was a little jealous because when we were dating he never kissed me like that, never. Well he seemed pretty happy with his hands all over her and I guess all I wanted him to be was happy.
I walked into Septimus's room and knocked lightly on his door. He was laying on his bed...sleeping.
I giggled at his resting form and approached him. His hair and clothes were disheveled and his mouth was slightly hanging open. He looked so cute and innocent when he was sleeping.
I decided to wake him up.
"Septimus. Septimus!"
I shook his shoulder a little, but still no response. I then decided to do something rash which I happened to be very good at.
I leaned down and gave him a little peck...and then a longer one. I pulled back but then Septimus' hand raised and he brought it to my face.
"Nono come back here." He mumbled in a sleepy tone.
He pulled my face to his again and we kissed...again.
Before I knew it I was on top of Sep, straddling his waist. We were pretty much in the same situation as Spencer was in with that girl on the couch.
I quickly pulled away and climbed off of him.
"Well that was..." I trailed off not knowing what to say.
"Nice." Septimus added and I laughed.
He stood up from his bed and approached me. His lips gently touched mine and I blushed.
"I don't feel guilty for kissing you anymore. It feels nice."
I smacked his arm and Septimus smiled. "Too soon?" He questioned.
I shook my head. "No, that's not it. I still feel bad for what I did to him. I didn't regret our...times together but I can't help feeling guilty you know?"
He nodded. "Yeah I know. He's my brother and we should've never done anything."
"Exactly. It was wrong...still kind of is."
He leaned in to me again. His lips were at me ear and when he spoke it sent shivers down my spine. "If it was so wrong...then why does it feel so right?"
I was about to retort but I couldn't. He actually was right. I felt so much happier around Septimus than I ever did with Spencer. That's still a really bad thing to say...oh well. He had his new candy. Just because Septimus and I kissed a little...doesn't mean anything was going to happen between us. At least...I hope that wasn't the case because I still really liked Sep.
He smiled, knowing he had won.
"Shall we get going?" He grabbed my hand and intertwined our fingers. Before I could reply he began walking and we headed down the stairs together. I braced myself for the sight that was on the couch.
Sep and I reached the bottom of the stairs and sure enough they were still there...in the same position.
My eyes hardened and Septimus noticed because his grip tightened on my hand. He smiled down at me and I smiled back.
Spencer's session ended as soon as Septimus and I began to walk away and I froze. We stared into each other's eyes and the air was filled with so much tension I couldn't breathe.
"Bye Seppy!" The girl called from the couch. She waved at him and he nodded to her.
Spencer's eyes lowered to our intertwined hands and his eyes held a look of sadness in them. I nodded to him in acknowledgement and he did the same.
Sep pulled me away from the hallway and out of the house.
When we got outside I took a deep breath of air. I looked up at Septimus and smiled.
"Thank you for getting me out of there. I was about to suffocate."
He grinned back. "Yeah me too. It was getting unbearable. Let's go on our walk."
After that we continued past my house and into the woods.
