Mysterypaw

Mysterypaw walked her way home after she took Cloudyrain back to his camp. She saw the waterfall. She remembered Redfang telling her its name. Magic Falls.

She walked towards it picking her way through the brambles. It had been a long time since she saw the waterfall.

"Are you okay?" a voice echoed her memories.

Mysterypaw turned to see Redfang. "I... uh... Yeah fine perfectly fine..." her voice trailed off.

Redfang tilted her head to one side. "How about this? I tell you something and you tell me what's going on with     you..."

She stared at the negotiating dog. "Deal!"

"So... Both Birdpaw and Cloudpaw are dead. Mosspelt will live..." She interupted the medicine dog.

"I knew all of this!" she snapped.

"I know... I know..." Redfang told her. "I'm glad about all of that!"

Mysterypaw stared at her. "Me too!"

"Now... What's going on with you?" the medicine dog asked.

"I'll tell you under one condition!" she murmured. Redfang nodded her to continue. "Don't tell Graystar."

Redfang's eyes widened. She shrugged. "Okay..."

"Before I knew what warrior code was..." she paused. "I met a warrior at the ShadowClan border."

"Oh I know who!" she said unsurprisingly. "That dog that stayed at our camp."

Mysterypaw felt defensive. "His name is Cloudyrain!" she snapped. "I loved him... Well it's complicated!"

Redfang tilted her head. "Explain it then..."

The apprentice looked up. "I just wish he could have been a ThunderClan warrior..." she said looking down. "Don't tell Graystar anything!"

"Oh, I won't! But I think you, Mysterypaw, should. She trusts you and ,you might not believe it yet, loves you."

As soon as she heard her say loves, she remembered when she was yelling at the leader. "But I love-" the leader had said before she cut her off.

Oh dear! Why does she love me?
