This is the last point of view with Cloudyrain sadly... You will not hear much about him until the next book... But enjoy~

Cloudyrain

Cloudyrain lay still in the medicine dog den. He felt so lonely without her there and at his side. He couldn't help the feeling of loss again. First his sister and now Mysterypaw, but at least the apprentice will live.

I loved her... I should have let her go and told her what they were doing. Maybe this wouldn't be happening if I did! I am such a bad mate! he thought longing for her love and affection.

The medicine dog was worse than ThunderClan's. The ThunderClan medicine dog just had an attitude, but still cared for her patients. The ShadowClan medicine dog on the other hand was terrible. He didn't care if it hurt unlike Redfang.

He wished he could have stayed in ThunderClan. He had the chance to ask Mysterypaw. The warrior got so mad at what she said that he just blew up on her.

"Ow!" he finally growled.

"It's gonna hurt, but there's nothing you can do...." Spotfur, the ShadowClan medicine dog, mumbled.

Cloudyrain stilled his body, breathing rapidly. "Yes there is!" the warrior snarled. "Give me a poppy seed! Please just give me a poppy seed," he wailed.

Spotfur raised one of his eyebrows. "Very well, warrior usually don't ask me for a seed," he continued. "I remember caring for you, when you were just a pup. R-"

"I remember!" he snapped.

Spotfur starred shocked. "Have you lost something again? That you love?"

Yes I have and my heart is broken! he ached to tell her. "No, no...." his voice trailed off.

The medicine dog nodded. "Here's your poppy seed," he nudged the seed towards him.

The poppy made him feel weak. He had now three poppy seeds in one day. He needed it for all of the pain he was going through. For the pain of remembering Rainpup. The pain of his scratches from the battle. Finally for the pain of not having Mysterypaw.

Oh StarClan... Why'd you let this happen? Why couldn't you let me tell her? Why are you letting pain come to me? his thoughts echoed into his sleep.
