Mysterypaw

Mysterypaw was walking to campo with the others. Her mind full of wonder and unforgivable love for Redtail. She couldn't help still feeling love for him. Even if hatred over flowed for her temper with him.

First Cloudpaw,  Birdpaw, Cloudyrain, and now Redtail?! she thought angrily. I have to love Cloudpaw and Birdpaw even though they were jealous and hateful to me. Even if they didn't remember, I still do, they are my litter mates.

They entered the camp to wary voices in the camp. The four Clan mates looked at each other. Time to find out what happened to Redtail... she thought.

Graystar lay her head on her paws in the clearing not even moving. Mysterypaw settled beside her mentor. She had a urge to immediately ask her what happened. But took a breath and looked at the leader staring blankly.

"Are you okay?" she asked eagerly.

Graystar lifted her head. "I was wondering the same thing..."

Mysterypaw looked to her paws, embarrassed. "I'm fine... What did you do to Redtail?" she added darkly.

The leader sighed. "For three moons he's now called Code Breaker. While called that he will help Redfang," she answered.

"Well, will Code Breaker go to any gatherings for the three moons?" she dared to ask.

"Hah! You think going to gatherings is a punishment?" Graystar was amused. "No he won't."

As the sun crept down into the mountains the chosen dogs gathered. It was just about time to go to the gathering. Every full moon dogs gathered together with the full moon protecting them from a fight.

Mysterypaw pushed her way out of the crowd and walked toward Code Breaker. "Why'd you do it?"

The punished warrior looked up. "Oh... You know about it? That's just great..." he said not answering her question. Then he lifted his body and went towards her. Defensively, she swiped him and pinned him down.

"We aren't a thing. And we never were! I can't have a mate as an apprentice.." she brushed past him and went back to the group.

Redfang padded up to her. "Why don't we go together on this? You'll get to see your old medicine dog friends." her old mentor seemed to be very eager, so she decided she would go with her.

She didn't want to but she nodded. She knew the only reason the medicine dog wanted to come was to see if she told Graystar and make sure she kept away from Cloudyrain.

Redfang broke the silence by telling her to follow. They walked until they reached where Lionpaw and Snowpaw lay grumpily.

"Greetings Lionpaw, Snowpaw," the medicine dog said politely.
