5. A Drastic Turn

A week has passed. And Dev was recovered from his fever, and was excited to welcome his sister, tonight itself!

Sonakshi was always suspicious of him. He just silently continued his work. And she always tried to talk to him about her every confusion, but again she wasn't sure to talk to the same person who has cheated on her so badly.

"Sir, Dev baba's friend has come to meet him, though I didn't allow her inside." Watchman informed Mr Talwar. And this was a grave mistake done by him. He made the devil, hell angry...... And it was all going to be repented by none other than Dev.

"Devvv" He rushed inside his room. Dev stood up all of sudden, his breath was uneven and his eyes were fixed down on the floor, "Yes Mamaji" said he.

"There was a girl who tried to meet you..... Who was she?" He asked, still in a calm voice.

"........gir....girl........?" He was confused.

"Oh! So you will do acting now!!!" He yells squeezing his cheeks.

"Mamaji...... I..... I don't know....... Whom are you talking about"

"So you are not going to tell me?" He fumes slipping out his leather belt. "It was the same girl, right? Sona?", at his question Dev's gaze met the devil's gaze.

Flashback

Mr Talwar has seen a love letter written "Sona ♥"

And after Dev has broken up with her, Mr Talwar is still finding out about the person.

"......There's.....No.....one.....called.......... S....So...Sona...." He tried to control his tears.

"Dev....." He rubbed his palm on Dev's face.

"So you'll again choose to be silent?" He suddenly splashed his belt on Dev's knees.

"Aahhhh" He quivers in pain. The next splashes were on his torso. He fell on the floor leaning on the wall and cocooned himself from the hard splashes which have turned his skin, red.

"Your past was here..... Damn it!! How I missed seeing her begging for her life." He gasped sitting in front of shivering Dev. "Let her know that you are Mine..... Only mine" He snatched Dev's scalp and he cried in pain.
"There's..... No one..... Trust me....." He managed to gasp in between his uneven breaths.

"Why do you do this?" the devil asks cupping his face and kissing him all over. "You know how much I love you right!" He strokes his hair and as always the sudden change in his behaviour scares Dev to death.

"You love me right?" He asks cupping his face. Dev keeps shivering while tears keep brimming down his cheeks. "Say" He wildly shakes Dev's cheeks and he replies with a quick nod meanwhile his tears never stopped. "That's my boy" He gasps and arranges Dev's hair away from his sweaty face.

"Don't worry..... I'll find it soon...." He assures giving a quick liplock. "Now make up yourself and get ready for the office," says the devil wiping Dev's sweaty forehead and cheeks. "Join me for dinner" He places a kiss on his forehead and leaves. He keeps shivering in the corner of the room.

Sonakshi coughs all of sudden. "Are you fine? Eat slowly, you can reach late as well" fumes Asha. "Sorry Maa" Sona pouts. "Are you thinking about that jerk?" Ele, who was having her breakfast, asks in a whispering tone. "I don't know Ele..... It's like, something is not right, there's something wrong..... I can feel it".
