18. Humiliation

As Dev's mamaji was a bit uncomfortable dealing with Dev in front of Sonakshi so, he has decided that Dev and Sonakshi should live in different apartments. Otherwise what if Sonakshi witnesses the devil in him?

A month has passed and finally when Ele made Sonakshi understand that she'll live tension-free in the different house away from his home vibes. So now both of them has shifted in a different apartment.

It's not like Mamaji's obsession over him was over, but he can make him stay with him, alone, whenever he wants. Mamaji knows that Dev isn't going to tell anything to her at any cost. But still he wants to make sure.

One night. Sonakshi was preparing her bed to sleep and as Dev used to sleep in other room so she didn't bothered what was he doing.

She phoned her mom and drifts into sleep. As she slept, Dev used to watch her secretly peeping from outside her room, everyday.

As he was glancing at his sleeping beauty. His phone beeps. It was a text message and it read, "Meet me in 15min"

Having no other option, he leaves to his house, of course without informing her.

She wakes up. Not because of him but because of a horrible nightmare which was haunting her even in sleep. She was unable to sleep so she decides to get herself a glass of water.

As she was proceeding towards the kitchen. She saw Dev, secretly leaving the house.

Okay. She accepts that she got suspicious. Suspicious about what new tragedy is he planning for her?

She secretly follows him, until he takes the lift. She decides to go by stairs but what if he leaves before she can catch him up?

So she waits for the lift. And hurriedly jumps inside.

As she was about to come out. "What" the door was stuck. She gets scared. She was trapped inside.

"Helppp" she shouts and bangs at the door.

But to her dismay, no one can hear her.

"Is anyone there? Please help" she screams.

Dev realizes that he has forgotten her mobile phone in his room. So he returns to get that.

Then suddenly, he realizes that someone was stuck inside the lift.

"Please..... Help....." her breath was puffing now.

"Hello.... Is there anyone?" he asks, a bit scared, of course, cause of the fear of darkness.

Sonakshi bangs the door and cries, "Helppp mee please...." her voice was weak and she was fainting.

"Sonakshi.... Is that you" he bangs the door.

But to his dismay, she faints and was unable to reply.

He runs to the watchmen and asks them for help. Everyone soon seems to be very concerned. And anyhow they manage to free her.

Dev was shocked to find her unconscious. "Sonakshi" he shakes her cheeks. But of no use. She was all sweaty.

Soon the doctor was called and Dev carries her to their flat.

"She got dehydrated. It's okay she's fine" says the doctor after checking her up.

He thanks his neighbors and everyone for helping them. They leave.

Dev sits holding her hands. "Sonakshi..... I know you can't..... But....please forgive me..... Please....." he cries holding her hands.
