12. Truth hurts

"Dev" a familiar voice enters his room. It was the afternoon, Sonakshi had some urgent work in the hospital, so she asked Elena to be with him until she returns. But Nisha has sent Elena to her friend's house.

Dev was watching a movie, recommended by Sonakshi. When the voice alerts him.

"Your lunch," says Nisha, keeping the tray beside the table. He always gets a negative vibe whenever she was around him.

"Thanks" he manages to speak.

She sits in front of him.

"Oh come on Dev! You know that I'll always do this for you!!" she rooms her finger on his face.

He just smiles hesitantly wanting her to leave the room.

"Dev" she holds his chin and he widens his eyes.

"You know.... My friend was laughing that a man can also get raped! And that too Dev Dixit!!" she laughs.

He gets tears at her words. How can she make fun of him?

"Why.... you... told..... anyone?" tears rolled down his cheeks.

"Oh my God" she cups his face softly and wipes his tears.

He flinches at her touch. His hand crushes the bedsheet harder as he feels very nervous.

She throws an evil smirk and comes more closer to him.

"You think no one can know?" asks she in a husky voice, near his cheekbones.

He was feeling so very uncomfortable with her. She was seducing him and this was triggering him.

"Sss...stay..... Away" he says pushing her a bit.

"Come on Dev..... A kiss can't make you suffer any such as your past" she hisses getting more close to him. She grabbed his lips by hers and crushed hard.

He was suffocated and restless. He tried to push her but she was turning wild on him. His lips were shivering and his voice has lost. She grabbed his chin and bites his lower lips.

"No...." he finally manages her to throw away. "Ggggg.....gggoooo..... gggooooo.....away" he huffs and stands up.

She smiles at him.

He was shivering and his lower lips were bleeding. Her laugh makes him look at her, confused.

"What will you do now?" says she.

"Baby..... You know I'm always there for you." as she takes her steps towards him he steps backwards, scared.

She stops at her way and smiles.

"I'm here to help you"

"........"

"Cause this thing can never always be a secret!"

"........"

"Can anyone medically proof that you were raped? No right!! Cause firstly you are a man!"

He keeps shivering.

"Ssshhh... Relax baby..... I'm here" she tries to touch him but he hides himself in the wall.

"Everyone is going to laugh at you.... Did you hear that?" she yells pulling him towards her.

"You are such a dumb person! Being a man you got raped!! You're so weak! So coward! My dear"

Her words were piercing in his chest but he was unable to speak anything.

"I have a suggestion for you"

He looks at her.

"Mr. Talwar is alive" this statement fetches the floor beneath his foot.

"No....no...no....." he whispers in a shivering tone.

"Good thing for you is..... He's in a coma"

"No...no...no...." he keeps chanting.

"Vicky wants you to come back."

"No...no... No...."

He was shivering and sweating by now. She tries to hold his shoulder but he slaps her hands and keeps chanting in a whispering tone.

He squeezes his eyes and presses his ears in order to avoid anything.

"Dev listens......" she shakes his shoulders.

"No......no.....no...."

"See... Dev..... Dr. Bose did not tell you anything... But the truth is..... No one will believe in you..... So better you should go back to that life..... At least you'll be with Riya, your family. She'll not hate you"

He was all silent, scared, and weeping by now.

"Think about it" she leaves patting his shoulder.

He shuts the door and sits on the floor, "No.... No.... No....." he cries hugging his knees.

"Dev" Sonakshi knocks on the door of his room.

She was worried.

"Dev please open"

He opens the door.

"Thank God, Dev! You're fine right?" she smiles finding him fine.

But he was silent.

"You had your lunch right?" she asks.

"Dev!" she looks at him.

"Is my mamaji alive?" he asks in his weak voice.

"Dev....." she noticed he looked so pale and dull. "You're fine right?"

"Tell me....." his eyes shot hers.

"Dev please"

"I said tell me now" he was angry.

".....yes"

"You lied to me!!"

"Dev..."

"You.....lied to me!!"

"Dev listen...."

"You lied to me Sonakshi!!"

And that's when she feels his head fell on her shoulder.

She was shocked.

"Dev" she gets worried. When suddenly her gaze fell on the blood pooled inside the bedsheet of the room.

His body loosens and falls down. She grabs his wrist which was bleeding furiously. "Oh My God" she gasps. "Dev no...... Please...... Dev...." she shakes his head. And ties a piece of cloth around his wrist.

She hurriedly calls Elena. "He...... has.... attempted..... suicide!!......"
