26. Not good together

"Dev" she cups his face.

"I'm an evil person Sonakshi... I.. I.. deserve to be hated." His orbs were layered by thick tears. Enough ashamed of himself to face her, his eyes barely made it to look at her. Her hands-on his face was an encouragement to help him face her.

Without thinking twice, she keeps her lips on his plumpy ones. He was stunned. The tear in his eyes, finally slips on his cheeks. Even she was unable to stop her tears.

He pushes her away all of sudden. And rubs his lips harshly.

"Devvv!!" She shakes him by his arms.

He keeps rubbing his lips so roughly that it becomes red.

"Dev stop it!" She shouts.

He throws her away which makes her elbow hurt. He keeps rubbing his lips harshly. His lips finally gets a cut. "Devvv!!!" She shouts and she manages to hold his hand.

His scared eyes finally stop at her teary eyes.

"I'm sorry.... I'm sorry...." Her whispering voice made him calm.

She leaves for her room.

Sitting in the corner, she cries. She was so sorry about his helplessness. Even she was helpless, she wanted to be with him but was unable.

It was a week since they have talked. Dev was feeling guilty towards her and she was unable to help him.

His talks were limited to urgent things and the panic attacks.

Today he received a call from his Mamaji. He said he wanted to meet him tonight.

He was scared. But decides to keep this away from his family's knowledge.

Sonakshi noticed that something was off. She follows him to the place he was called.

"Dev!" Mamaji smirks as he steps out of his car.

Dev's feet drag him a bit backward.

Sonakshi, who was far in her car, calls someone.

The place was beside a river. It was night and their car flashlights were on.

"What do you want?" Dev asks.

"You!!" He replies stepping towards him.

Dev pushes him away. His bodyguard were about to take an action but stops as they were told by Mamaji.

"Why are you doing this to me? Huh?" His voice breaks as he shouts. "Why??? I'm your sister's son... Can't you pity me for the sake of that relationship?" He shouts.

"What?" He laughs. "I'm so glad to hear that. But there's a thing... I'm not your Mamaji" he laughs louder.

Sonakshi was recording everything.

"You're a no-one! I picked you up from the street. You were abandoned by your own parents!"

"What?"

"I gave you this name and money and power. In return, I just wanted you to be loyal. But see here we are!"

"N..no... It's... It's not possible.... What about Riya then?" He stutters.

"She's my sister's daughter. I love her so much!"

"No way..."

"Believe it or not but that's the truth! You were taking good care of her. You were a good brother I must say. But... Why do you have to abandon me? Why?" He shouts and slaps Dev.
