"ang maka-shoot premyo kiss o!"
he jumped when he heard kuya ry say that. he literally grabbed one of those rings from baste, eager to shoot one. as he aimed for the target at the center, all he kept thinking about was the prize, hoping that the woman beside him would grant him the kiss should he make the shot.
"kanino?"
wally asks.
"bahala na!"
damnit. he missed. she grinned as the ring misses the target, crouching low as she watches the dabarkads play around. the show ends and they make their way to the dressing room. she senses him behind her, keeping some distance, silent. she turns around and smiles at him. he looks at her and smiles back, a little sad. she takes his hand and pulls him to her, the other dabarkads knowingly teasing them. he's surprised at the spontaneity, for she hasn't really been back to her usual playful self since the year started. she surprises him more as she plants a kiss on his lips, to the dabarkads delight.
"mmmmwaaah!"
it takes him a few seconds to recover, and soon he swings her around and hugs her tight.
"para saan yun?"
he asks. she smiles.
"premyo para sa hindi naka-shoot."
