fast forward to to 5 years, a&m do their 2nd film together (yes, it took that long), and interview each other for a magazine:

a: so, how was your 1st day of shooting with me?

m: grabe to! bakit ganun ang tanong? parang di tayo nagkakasama sa bulaga...

a: iba siyempre yung sa movie, matagal na din kaya yung sa ... como...

m: ok, ok...nakakakaba of course! naka-ilang acting awards ka na kaya, hello! tapos 1st directorial job mo ito, tapos ako pa ang pinili mong gumanap...

a: ikaw naman kaya ang nagsulat ng script. that time off to focus on your writing really made you shine in your craft. and dati naman na akong bilib sa iyo, alam mo yan.

m: oo na...ako naman magtatanong. what's different about filming this compared to the other projects you've done, bukod sa ikaw ang director and at the same time lead actor?

a: i've grown a lot, i've learned the tricks of the trade, i have more drive to deliver what i have envisioned for this film... and i have this vision for us...

m: ha...?

a: ...for us to portray the characters that you have written sa kwento mo!

m: ah...ok...

a: uuuy...akala mo kung ano sinasabi ko no?

m: hindi ah! grabe to! next question!

a: ok ok... what do you think the fans, our fans, will say when they watch the movie?

m: that we've matured. na kahit sa tinagal-tagal ng panahon since they've been asking for another project, another movie for us, they will say na "it was worth the wait."

a: totoo naman. worth it naman talaga. we're a lot more relaxed, it also helped that we're way past what has happened between us...

m: are we?

a: ha?

m: ah...next question, my turn...

a: teka, huy. what do you mean?

m: next question. bakit mo naisipang maging director ng pelikula at the same time ikaw din ang gaganap sa lead role?

a: yung totoo?

m: aba siyempre naman!

a: tulad ng sinabi ko, may vision ako para sa pelikulang ito. at hindi ko makitang may ibang gaganap opposite you kundi ako lang.

m: ...

a: my turn. tungkol sa love life. nahanap mo na ba ang magpapasaya sa 'yo ngayon?

m: matagal ko naman nang nahanap. kaso...hindi lang kami nagkaintindihan. hindi ipinag-adya ng pagkakataon. may mga bagay na hindi ko maintindihan dati kasi puro siya trabaho. pero kasi bata pa din naman kami noon...

a: ang tanong ay yung ngayon.

m: naiintindihan ko na siya. gets ko na.

a: ...

m: ... gets na kita.

just needed to get this out of my head. in response to the 'what if' sort of prompt that @adnlou tweeted. what if alden & maine interview each other, similar to what alden & kathryn did for preview magazine? so...yeah. this. 

(the questions i used are largely based on the questions that alden & kath asked each other, too.)
