When Gracie woke up two hours later, she found herself outside the academy watching the others train. She watched their forms and techniques, adding her own to it mentally when she spotted a brunette standing over a red head.

Many of the other students at the academy stopped what they were doing, and watched the spectacle with either fear, or amusement, which Gracie found none in the situation. What she hated more than anything in the world, was people standing on the side not doing anything to help a defenceless person.

And thats what they were doing right now.

She growled, but forgot her wound, and hissed at the sharp pain in her neck. The wound Michael gave her healed, but not enough for her to growl.

After that incident, Cassie was punished with laundry and clean up duty at the manor and kitchen in the mornings. A punishment Talia sought to when she realised Gracie tried taking her place. But James knew what had happened because Gracie had come to him for authorization to get Cassie. So he told Talia the truth which resulted in Cassie being under house arrest as well as doing chores.

Gracie cringed inwardly at the thought of her twin.

When she passed by her this morning, Cassie threw her a dark look and glared at her the entire time at the breakfast table.

Fear was something she was accustomed to. When her beast was released, she feared for the lives it might have taken. When Cassie or anyone who was more dominant came near her, she feared for her life. And although she wasn't a submissive wolf, she knew when to back down when an opponent was a lot more stronger than her.

Cassie might not be supernatural, but she could fight nonetheless.

And that terrified Gracie ever since they were younger and she experienced it first hand.

A throat was cleared behind her, and she jumped, turning around to glare at the person.

Zira smiled apologetically and sat down beside her." How are you feeling now?" She asked her. Gracie looked down at her hands that had scars gained recently." I'm okay. My throat still hurts, but I'll live." She replied lightly and Zira chuckled." I heard about what happened...Between you, James, Cassie and Talia." She trailed off, unsure to touch that subject.

But Gracie shook her head," why isn't anyone mad at me? I deserved punishment as well for engaging with Michael when we were strictly ordered not to go near him." She asked looking at her older sister's big blue eyes.

Zira and James were the only two in the family who inherited blue eyes which James gladly explained came from the father's side of the family. This proved true, when Gracie noticed that Talia's eyes were indeed blue, and not grey as she thought. He also explained that she, Carly and Michael were the only ones, besides their father, to have inherited his green eyes. The rest, Mandy and Cassie, had gotten their brown eyes from their mother. James didn't explain to her what color eyes Mitch got, but he assumed them yo be green as well.

"You didn't deserve any form of punishment, Gracie," Zira said, snapping her out of her thoughts." Yes, you met Michael, but that was not your fault. You asked permission to leave the house to get Cassie, who didn't even bother admitting to the truth when you took the blame for her actions, and you protected her without using your wolf. Taht doesn't mean you should be punished."

But now Cassie hates me and is most likely to murder me in my sleep.

"Now come on," Zira stood up." Let's get you back inside since it is almost dinner time." She said and Gracie followed her back to the manor.

...

"You want me to what?"

Gracie sat up straighter, scanning through the file. James and Talia looked at each other when the door opened, and Cole walked in with two guards behind him.
