Cole turned to her." Cassie run!" He stood in front of her as his brother tried grabbing her arm." Leave her alone!" Colt shoved him away and grabbed Cassie's arm gently and covered her mouth, whispering something in her ear. Her body went limp as he held her.
"Put her down!!!" Carly's voice shouted. All three turned to face her when Gracie appeared behind her. They all looked at her confusingly." Who the hell are you?!" Ravenna asked." My name is Gracie. That person that you're holding is our sister!" Gracie took out her crossbow and aimed it at Colt." Gracie, don't do anything you'll regret later." James came up beside her." Touch her again, and I'll carve your heart out with this arrow." She threatened." Don't you dare threaten us!" The queen shouted." Then don't take people without looking at their eye color!" She retorted back." Who is she?!" Colt asked.
"That's my sister, Cassie Summers!!!" A voice yelled over them. Carly and James' eyes widened and looked at him." Mitchell!!!" They yelled at him."LET HER GO!!!" They heard Michael shout." You!!!" Ravenna took out a sword behind her dress.
"Don't!" "Leave her!" "Please, don't kill her!" Everyone shouted and screamed at her. She and Colt unfurled their wings and took off. Gracie's animal instincts kicked in. She ran and jumped up before they could go any further, and grabbed Colt's leg and pulled him with her and all three fell. She pushed her body to grab Cassie's arm.
Cole and Michael rushed forward. Michael caught Cassie's arm while Cole grabbed Gracie's not healed yet arm. She screamed when he gripped it tightly." Hold on!" He shouted. She nodded but felt extra weight pulling her down. She looked down at her leg as Colt hung on. She reached out her hand to him and he grasped it. She pulled him up as James grabbed him. Cole pulled her up and she landed on him with an oof! Mitchell rushed to help them up." Are you okay?" He asked him.
"Yes thanks." Cole smiled at him and he returned it." Mitch? Is that you?" Carly asked in disbelief. He grinned at her sheepishly." Yes?"he replied. She jumped on him and cried." Carl, you're killing me!" He gritted out. He turned to Gracie and smiled sweetly." You're that Mitchell?" She asked but laughed at him." Hey! Don't you remember me?" He asked playfully." Whatever..." she muttered and walked over to Cole." Cole, who is he to you?"she asked him carefully." He's my brother."he replied.
"Is he going to be alright?" Carly asked him as she knelt down beside Colt's unconscious body." He's out cold. Just like Cassie." James said." No. Cassie was spelled. That's why she's unconscious." Gracie explained and stood behind them with Cole's jacket.
"Can you help her?" Michael asked." Yes. Maybe I can reverse the spell." She replied. Cole picked up a discarded jacket on the floor and covered his brother's wings.
"Let's get going. Gracie you're going to have to sit at the back with me. I want to see if your blood is clean."James told her as he came back with a bed for Colt. Let's get him on there and go." He told them all. Carly wrapped her arm around Mitch's waist. Gracie handed Cole his jacket and walked with him. Michael went with James and caught up with some stuff and carried Cassie.
When they got in by the car, Gracie helped Colt in the back settle in. Cole and Mitch got in at the back as Michael got in by the passenger side while Carly got in by the driver's seat." This is what you do for a living?" He asked her with a smirk." Well not all of us go on killing sprees and we have jobs to do. So don't question what I do for a living." She sent him a glare. Faint noises were heard at the back and Michael turned to face them with narrowed eyes. Mitch elbowed Cole in his ribs.
Carly got out at a gas station when both James and Gracie got out at the back.
James got in by the driver's seat as Gracie got in by Cole and Mitch." What the heck happened to you? You look like Nicole rode over you with a truck." Mitch asked her." And what if it was true?" She sent him a smirk." No, seriously though, what happened?" He looked at her and Cole. She looked at Cole as he shrugged slightly." I got hurt let's say.". She looked at Cole and noticed that he was deep in thought.' Are you alright?' She asked him.' Yes... are you?' He asked.' Yep. My arm is just sore.' She told him.
They didn't notice James stopping by a gas station. He got out and told Mitchell to follow." Carly wants to speak with you." He gave him a smile. He got out and moved to the back as Carly walked out.
"Why did she do that?" Cole asked as James started the car again and drove." I don't know? Maybe because she likes you alot?"she sent him a smirk. He narrowed his eyes at her." I don't know. Maybe she thought that something bad will happen to me and tried preventing it?" She looked out the window as the stars above twinkled." Why do you look at the stars?" He looked at her clearly and noticed that her green eyes were darker." I can tell which way the stars lead." She looked in front and asked her two older brothers,"When do we reach the Manor?".
"In a few hours." Michael answered her as Carly told James that Mitch should sit in front. Mitch got in and soon all three of them fell asleep as the sun rose in the sky. Mitch's head rested on Gracie's shoulder while her's rested on Cole's. He laid his head on the window.
When they reached the Manor, James woke them up. Gracie moved away from Cole as if he burned her. She winced when she moved out and bumped into Michael's muscular back." Are you okay?" He watched as her facial expression changed to pain. She gave him a fake smile and a slight nod.
"WHAT HAPPENED HERE?!" Talia yelled. Carly rushed over to her and explained everything that happened. Gracie saw Tessa running over to her quickly." Let's get you changed into something other than this rubbish." She took a hold on her arm slightly and motioned for her to move." Ugh, Cassie is probably going to freak when she finds her hair looking like that." She told her and and they both broke into laughter.
"Mitch, you're back!" Mandy hugged him and Talia smiled." Since you've met Cole, would it be fine if you shared a room?" She asked them. Cole looked to Mitch and shrugged." Sure." Mitch said. She smiled and walked away. Cole and Mitch looked at each other and laughed. When they heard female laughter, they turned towards Gracie and Tessa laughing about something." Woah cupcake! Are you for sale?" He asked her." No cuz' you can see there ain't no price tag on me."She rolled her eyes at him. Cole's brown eyes met Gracie's green ones. She smiled at him and he returned it.
"Eleanor! Summers!" They snapped out of their trance when a high pitched shriek yelled. Tessa and Gracie looked at Jessica and rolled their eyes." What, Moore?" Tessa spat.
"Don't answer me like that-"." Like what?!" Gracie shouted." You don't get to talk to me or to anyone else like that. Cuz if I find out, I'll rip your eyes out of their sockets and throw them for the dogs!" she threatened her. Tessa gasped in excitement and shook her happily.
Mitch and Cole walked away quickly and headed up to their room.

Well, you can say I was her only friend in school. And I was her protector. So if you hurt her, I'll kill you." He told him." I won't. I've agreed to help you and I'll risk my life to save hers." He looked him in his eyes.
"Since we'll do anything to protect her and we share a room, can we at least be friends?" He asked him." I'm Mitchell by the way."." Sure. I'm Cole." They shook on it and smiled.
