"Julia? Where have you been? Kanina pa kita hinahanap." Wendy said pagdating ko sa classroom.
"Nag-CR lang." I answered. Nang umupo ako sa upuan ko, inisip ko ang mga taong pwede kong mapagtanungan tungkol sa kay Kiro at Cassandra. I actually have a few names in mind.
First, Neo, Kiro's best friend. Second, Cassandra's friends, if she has. Third, maybe some gossip girls around the campus. Pero sa lahat nang mga taong iyon, si Neo ang may biggest chance to know the real score between the two.
"Wendy?" Tawag ko sa katabi ko. "Have you seen Neo around?"
"No, pero basketball practice raw ngayon ang varsity. Maybe sa gym?" She answered. "Why? May kailangan ka sa kanya?"
"Wala naman. Just needed to ask something." I said. I took my phone out and sent Neo a message.
Neo, can you meet me after school? Sa Fruistro Cafè, maybe at 5.
A few minutes passed and my phone beeped.
Okay. See you :)
Later, I'll ask Neo about what he knows. Sasabihin niya rin naman siguro diba? He's my friend but he's also Kiro's best friend. I hope he'll answer my questions later, I badly need it.
Hours passed at ang tanging hinihintay ko lang ay ang matapos ang araw na ito. Hindi na rin pumasok ang varsity team including Neo and Kiro dahil sa practice.
When the bell for the last subject rang, I immediately fixed my things up. Ramdam ko ang tingin ni Wendy sa akin. I looked at her and she is staring at me intently.
"Saan ka na naman pupunta? You've been in a rush since kanina." She said while fixing her own things.
"Sorry talaga, Wendy. Pero may kailangan lang talaga akong i-meet ngayon." I said.
"Really? I understand. I'll see you tomorrow then, be safe." She smiled. I smiled back and left.
The Fruistro Cafè is just a few blocks away from the campus. It may only take up around 10 minutes if I'll walk.
The cafè has a few customers when I arrived. I sat at one of the tables for two persons. It's still 4:50, I came earlier than the time I said to Neo.
"Julia!" I heard Neo call me when he entered thee cafè. I greeted him back. "Can I order first before we talk?"
"Sige." He stood up and ordered his food while I played with my fingers. I'm nervous and scared. Takot akong malaman ang totoo.
He came back with a fruit juice in his hand and another cup in his other hand.
"Here, have a drink. It's strawberry." He placed the cup in front of me. I held it and took a sip. "So what do you want to talk about?"
"It's about Kiro." I said nervously.
"I knew it." Aniya. I was shocked. Did he know that I was curious with his relationship with Cassandra?
"W-what do you m-mean?" I stuttered.
"Alam kong tungkol kay Kiro but which part of him?"
"It's about him and Cassandra." He choked while sipping his drink. Do they really have something for Neo to react like this.
"H-how did you know her?" Tanong niya.
"I saw her at school at palagi silang magkasama ni Kiro in places na kaunti lang ang tao. Are they together? No, they're just close friends right? I mean, kakalipat lang naman ni Cassandra sa school so baka magkababata lang sila, diba? Imposible rin naman siguro kung may relasyon sila." I said and chuckled. I made things up to not hurt myself. Tiningnan ko si Neo. He is looking at me as if I'm crazy. "What?"
"No. Hindi sila magkaibigan or magkababata. They're together, Julia."
