Lillie's P.O.V:
The music was pumping, drinks were flowing and there was loads of dancing. I was dancing with me' old pal Becky and her boyfriend George Shelley, we were all a bit drunk. The next song to come on was Conor and his friend Anth's cover of River by Eminem and Ed Sheeran, I started singing Conor's part without me realising, "I've been a liar, been a thief, been a lover, been a cheat, all my sins need holy water, feel it washing over me, a little one, I don't want to admit to something, if all it's gonna cause is pain, truth in my lies right now are falling like the rain, so let the river run," When I sang the chrous everyone started clapping, "Cor' the bloody singer," Conor's friend Mikey said drinking his glass of Wine. "Thanks, Mikey!" I smiled, before walking over to the food area, grabbing a bag of Smokey Bacon crisps. "That, my friend was great," Conor said wrapping his arms around my waist, I could smell his breath you could tell we'd been drinking. "Aw, thank you, buddy!" I said giving him a kiss on the cheek. "Lillie! Come dance with me!" CJ slurred, she's hilarious when she's had one too many. "Alright, babe - I'mma coming," I said before leaving Conor's embrace and going to dance with my soul sis.
Conor's P.O.V
I know that I'm a bit drunk, however, I sober enough to know that I really am starting to fall for Lillie. She's beautiful, smart, talented, there's not enough words to describe how brilliant Lillie is. I'm gonna tell her how I feel, really hope she feels the same as me.
I text Lillie to ask her to come outside:
Conor: Lillie, when you get the chance come out back. I need to tell you sommat - C x
Seconds later, she replies:
Lillie: I'm coming now! - L x
We walk outside together, I'm cacking myself here. "You alright hun?" Lillie asks, "Yeah, I just need to tell you something. I'm just really nervous here." I say scratching the back of my neck nervously, "Ok, what's up?" Lillie says rubbing my arm, "Well... I really, really like you, Lillie. You're beautiful, smart, talented, there's not enough words to describe how brilliant you are Lillie, I'm falling in love with you." I say shaking out of nervousness, "C-conor. I feel the exact same about you, I've always had a crush on you since I met Jack and became friends with him. But, since we moved schools, I've realised how much I'm falling for you." She finishes as I go in for a passionate kiss, our lips moving in sync with each other, yes I've had kisses before but this one feels different. It feels more real. When we part our foreheads are touching, smiling at each other. Next thing we know everyone from the house starts cheering and clapping, "FINALLY!!" CJ shouts, we all laugh "LILLIE'S GOT HER PRINCE!!!" Becky shouts.
"Love you, Lillie-Louise Bennett..."
"Love you too, Conor Paul Maynard..."
We say to each other before we kiss again...
