||want you back||

" no matter how long you're gone i'm always gonna want you back "

***

"Ollie, please will you just talk to me?" Grace asks through her daughter's bedroom door. "I'm sorry I banned you from seeing that Blythe boy but I had good reasons."

Silence. Ollie didn't want to talk to her mother. Because of her, Olivia lost the one boy she actually liked...and to Josie Pye of all people. How could Ruby even believe that Josie was putting in a good word for her? Did she not see that Josie was stealing him from her?

"I really did baby," her mom continues.

"Then what are they?" Olivia snaps. "We've only been here for a little over a month and you've never even met him!"

"I can't tell you..." Ollie stops. She can't tell her? She can't tell her? Grace bans her from seeing him out of the blue for absolutely no reason but oh no, she can't tell her. She pulls the door open in a rush.

"You're joking, right? Please tell me you're kidding because I think I might scream if you're not joking." She laughs with absolutely no emotion.

"You will do no sort, Olivia." Grace states, placing her hands on her hips.

"How can you not tell me why? You can't just ban me for no reason!" Ollie screams.

"Watch your tone young lady." Her mother warns.

"No, I won't watch my tone because it's so stupid!" She yells, stomping her foot.

"That is it. You are banned from seeing your friends and you will stay in this room until you learn to watch your tone." Grabbing the handle, Grace shuts the door.

Is she kidding? Does she actually think Olivia is just going to sit there and take it? If she did, she has another thing coming for her. She grabs an item of clothing before throwing the door open. She runs down the stairs, past her mother, out of the door and towards the barns.

"Olivia Dior Fontaine you get back here this instant!" Grace howls but Olivia doesn't listen. Instead, she mounts her horse and gallops away from her house. She wasn't sure where she was going but all Ollie knew was that she had to get away. Get away from her mother, from Josie, from it all.

For some reason, Ollie found herself at the waterfall. This was one of the beginnings of her problems. Josie was still mean before this but when she pushed Olivia off the rocks she knew that she was truly evil. This was also when Gilbert told her that he would wait for her because she was worth it.

Guilt seeps into Olivia's heart and she thinks about how he was so amazing to her even though she was cold to him. He was...is such a thoughtful and kind person with a beautiful soul.

Sighing, she ties up KJ to a nearby tree and she sits on the ledge of rocks where she was pushed off. Picking at a single blade of grass that rests in the crevice between two rocks, she blows on it and makes a wish.

A rustling of bushes alerts her and she pushes herself up.

"Ollie?"

"Gilbert?"

The two say at the same time, looking at each other in shock.

"What are you doing here?" He asks her.

"What are you doing here?" She repeats his question.

"I asked you first."

"Well, women and children first and I fall into both of those categories." She states, crossing her arms. Gilbert raises his eyebrows at her and she rolls her eyes. "I just had to get out of the house for a little while. Now you."

"The same you could say." He smiles and Olivia can feel her knees becoming weaker the longer she stares at him. "I'm surprised you came here out of all places." He mentions to the water. "It was here that you almost drowned and I had to save you."

"First of all, I had that situation completely under control. Secondly, it was your girlfriend who tried to kill me."

"She's not my girlfriend." He snaps, standing up straighter. "Shouldn't you be with your boyfriend? Where is Charlie anyways?"

"Oh, that's rich." Olivia laughs. "Coming from the guy who is getting all 'handsy-handy' with my arch-enemy." She snaps.

"Yeah? Well, you're the one who ran away from me at the party." He yells. Yells. Olivia Fontaine had never EVER heard Gilbert Blythe even raise his voice but here he stood, yelling at Olivia for running out on what would've been their first kiss. "I liked you and you left me. You left me standing there like a fool." His voice partially cracks at the end and he quickly shakes his head. "You left so you have no right to tell me who I should and shouldn't be with."

"Gil-"

"No. Stop. I don't want your pity. You didn't like me and that's okay," It wasn't okay. "I understand. You can't force someone to feel things." He utters and turns to walk away.

Olivia wanted to do something. Do anything so that he didn't hate her. She liked him too but here she was, standing there like a coward, not telling him how she really felt.

She didn't know why she did what she did. But for some reason, she felt herself involuntarily moving her legs to catch up with him. Grabbing him by the arm, she spins him around and presses her lips to his.
