" I'll come back for you, back someday for you "

Olivia Fontaine had gone through a lot. She moved to Avonlea from one of her very many temporary homes and in that time she met her soulmate- a redheaded girl who Olivia was incredibly alike, a woman more than a girl who did not look like Olivia did but someone who loved her brother as she loved him, a dark-haired girl who she could unleash her inner girly side with, a French boy who she considered her best friend, and finally...a kind boy whom she might've just fallen for. The best decision her parents ever made was to move to Avonlea. Although it was small, it's all Ollie ever wanted. Until the day when it wasn't. The day that hit her heart like a punch in the gut. The day when Gilbert Blythe decided to leave.

The day started out normally, Olivia woke to have breakfast with her parents. Her mom was cooking eggs from the chickens they had bought from the market a few weeks before.

"Olivia." Grace calls to her daughter. "Could you please stop taking so long and get down here?"

"Coming mother!" Olivia yells down to her from her bedroom. Olivia finishes putting on her last stroke of blush before meeting the rest of her family in the dining room. Grace took the eggs off the stove and plated them on the table.

"You look fancied up." Isaac comments. "What are you doing today?"

Olivia blushes before grabbing a scoop of eggs, laying them on her plate. "I'm meeting Anne and Jerry to help them sell some of the Cuthbert's things in town." she hesitates before continuing. "And after that I'm going over to Gilbert's to take care of him while Hattie is working."

"You're going to see Gilbert?" Grace questions as she stops buttering her toast. Olivia nods. "Perfect!" Ollie furrows her eyebrows. Her mother knew that she visited Gilbert quite often but Grace never said anything else about the matter. "I have something for him. Be sure he gets it."

Grace walks out of the dining room to her own bedroom and returns with a box. She stands behind Charles so that he doesn't see her. Grace beckons Olivia over and they go to a room that is next to the living room where they sometimes sit and look out at the fields behind the house.

"Gilbert's father gave this to me when I was here." She opens the box to show Ollie a smaller wooden music box. There was a ballerina that spins when you open it. The box was empty other than an engraving on the middle of it. J.B. & G.M. Jon Blythe and Grace Moreau. Moreau was Grace's maiden name. Olivia always loved the sound of it, although she loved the name Fontaine as well. "It's to hold treasures like letters and pendants in."

"Oh mother..." She trails off, taking both boxes from her mothers hand. "They're beautiful."

"They're made to fit together." Grace takes a breath before furrowing her eyebrows, looking at the ground. "Maybe you could keep the other one?"
