The sound of dress shoes clacked through the long empty hallway. The moon beaming through the windows, being the only source of light. The shoes stopped in front of a doorway that led to another office within the building. The hand that belonged to the man in the dress shoes slowly opened the door only to see a void of black. He stayed outside of the room, as if someone was within the dark room.
    "Why her?" A deep voice growled from the darkness of the room, piercing brown eyes snapping open to glare at the man who was straightening his dress shirt. He brushed off some invisible dust, ignoring the question asked until he looked at the eyes with an displeased look.
    "What was I supposed to do? It was the best I could do with how little time we have. It won't be long before they figure out how to purge you and Anti from this world. We don't have time to wait for the 'right' one, we need someone now. It's not like anyone in this town is dumb enough to work here anyway." The man scolded, huffing as he fixed his bowtie. "Would you rather we wait for the 'right'-"
    "No, she'll do fine." The voice snarled, unpleased with his lack of choice. "Isn't there something you could do to halt their progress?"
    "If there was a way, I would've stopped them a long time ago. You know I can't leaved this cursed town either. Stop being impatient and appreciate my help." The man snapped back, "If you're done with this petty squabble, I have a job and reputation to keep up so if you'll excuse me." The man walked away as the door was slammed closed behind him, a agitated scream rippling through the building...
