(Authors Note: Hey everyone, if anyone actually still reads this.. I decided to update with an epilogue, my reason for this is the fact that my planned sequel "Horan" didn't receive the reads I hoped it would like my minor success with "Diana", the sequel has now been on hold  for over a year and clearly I still haven't managed to find good enough ideas to keep the story going. So, for the sake of my readers I am bringing some closure to the story of Diana and Niall by writing this epilogue.)

Around two years after Niall's proposal to Diana during her perfect prom night, the couple wed, surrounded by their closest friends and Diana's newfound family.

The exact date was August 11th 2016, and both Diana and Niall could feel the butterflies in their stomachs as they awaited the time for them to join each other at alter. Diana had to take several deep breaths before she allowed herself to step out onto the beginning of the aisle before making her way to her soon to be husband, the love of her life. The guests had stood as she walked down the aisle to a slow beat song, she shyly smiled when she noticed the smiles her guests had shown on their faces. No look on any of the guests' faces, to this day, would compare to the one Niall held on his, it was a look of awe, one that Diana would never forget, etched into her the mind until the day she died.

On that day, the whole church was silent as the couple recited their vows they wrote to each other:

"Diana Louise Clark, I wanted you from the first day I saw you, and luckily for me, I was the guy that ended up with you. Things for us moved very quickly in the beginning of our relationship, and maybe that was what led to the struggles we've had to overcome, but we always got through them together. You continue to amaze me with how you manage to put up with me,because I'm a handful I know, and I'm not the first person to say it. The day I asked you to marry me is a day I'll never forget along with the day I met you, the day I asked you to be my girlfriend, and today, the day you become my wife. There is no one I'd rather be stood here with than you, and there's no one I'd want to give every ounce of my love to, no one but you. I love you, with all my heart, my soul, forever. I promise."

"Niall, once upon a time you were just a famous face, someone who's music I listened to. You stole my heart the first day we met and you've kept it ever since. I will never be able to thank you enough and show you enough gratitude for the times you've stuck by me, even when my decisions have been ridiculous and my attitude has been awful. You have given me something I had never known before, and that is your love. My love for you is completely unconditional and I know it will remain that way till the day I die. To think that I was once a fan in a crowd and now four years later I get to be stood here next to only you, marrying you. Spending forever with you is something I can't wait to do. You have given me so much light in my life and I am the luckiest the person in this universe. I love you with everything I have, forever."

The room was filled with smiles, all the guests happy for the couple, but the brightest smiles were those of the pair that in that moment stood on top of the world, proud of what they'd accomplished together.

Their first kiss as man and wife was just as, maybe even more, special than their first kiss altogether.  August 11th was the beginning of their happy ending, together.

Diana and Niall found each other, they lost each other but they always made their way back to each other, for separation too long drove them both clinically insane. They were two lost souls, that just by chance made each other complete. If one was without the other, functioning wasn't humanly possible.

Just two years after they wed, they became parents to the most beautiful little boy either of them had ever seen. River James Horan. A baby born with crystal blue eyes like his father, and natural brunette curls like his mother. He was a piece of art that belonged in a museum. He was the brightest thing that shone in their happy little family. River James, a blessing and a curse. A child that fulfilled his father's dreams, but at the same time broke his heart in two.
