Diana's POV
Niall and I stayed in our cuddling postition for miutes on end until the doctor cleared his throat. We both turned to face him and I gave him a questioning look. "Miss Clark, there are some people outside wishing to see you." The doctor said. "Send them all in." I sighed. The doctor nodded and then left the room. He returned shortly after with all our friends and the she devil. "That one, out." I demanded, pointing to Sarah. "What?! I think she's delusional, I'm her best friend." She protested. "You nearly killed me bitch. Get out my sight." I said, sitting up straight. "Di, calm down." Niall whispered in my ear. "How about no." I said simply. "I want her out. Now!" I demanded, raising my voice more with every word. "Very well." The doctor sighed, taking Sarah by the arm and practically dragging her out of the room.
"Sooo." Louis spoke, breaking the awkward silence that lingered in the air. "How are you feeling Di?" He asked me. "I feel like a carrot." I grumbled. "CARROTS!!" He screamed at the top of his lungs. I moaned and gripped Niall's shirt as I buried my head into his chest. "Tell him to shut up." I whined. All I could hear was Louis screaming carrots repeatedly and it was giving me an awful headache. "Shut up!" I raised my voice. Everyone looked directly at me. "I have a headache." I whined, standing up and walking towards the door. "Hey, where you going?" Niall asked, taking a place beside me. "I need air." I said. "Let me carry you." He said, trying to pick me up. I stepped away. "No! I want to be able to do things for myself." I exclaimed. "Diana, I just don't want you to get hurt." He said, reaching out for my hand. "I know that I just need to have some time to myself." I sighed. "Sarah's out there." He reminded me. "She won't come near me, she knows that she'll end up like my dad." I shrugged. "Please let me come with you." He begged, pulling puppy dog eyes. "Fine." I sighed, giving in. I really didn't need another argument with someone.
Niall took his hand in mine and lead me out of the hospital. I sat on a bench and pulled Niall down with me. "I love you." He said, leaning his head on my shoulder. "I love you too Ni. Always and forever." I promised, leaning my head to rest on top of his. "Diana, you don't understand. I love you." He repeated, but with exaggeration on the word 'love'. "I love you too." I copied his previous answer. "Why are you still with me?" I asked, breaking the comfortable silence. "What?" He asked, sitting up. "Why are you still with me?" I repeated my question. "A, becasue I love you and B, because you're my princess now and I need to protect you." He smiled. "No how do you picture us in two years?" I asked, leaning my head on his shoulder. "Two years? I imagine us going strong, still in a stable relationship. I also imagine you with a large shiny ring on your finger." He smiled. "I like that idea." I replied. A shiver sent through my body which caused me to wrap my arms around myself. "Ni, can we go inside? I'm getting chilly." I said. "Of course princess." He said, taking my hand and helping me stand. He then walked with me back into the hospital, through the doors and into my room in the ICU.
~A Week Later~
A week had past since I had my terrifying relapse and I was feeling so much better. After a hard goodbye, Dylan caught a plane back to Miami a couple of days after I was assigned a room in the ICU. However, he called me up every day and checked on how I was feeling excetera. Niall was by my side twenty-four seven as were the others minus Sarah and Dylan. Ever since the time I told Sarah to leave I hadn't heard anything from her. All I know is that all my belonging were dumped at Niall's mothers house. What a pleasant girl she is indeed. I hadn't heard anything about my fathers court case which both relieved me from the memories but worried me about the future. Nonetheless, I was happy and hopefully able to fly back to Ireland with Niall.
"Hey beautiful, how're you feeling?" Niall asked me in his raspy morning voice that indicates he'd just woken up. "I'm better than ever Ni. I should be able to go home today!" I exclaimed, bouncing lightly in a sitting position on the bed. "I know honey, you do know you're going to have to take lots of different kinds of medications for all your different diagnoses though, right?" He checked. "I know Ni. If only my father cared more, maybe I wouldn't be in this state." I sighed. "Listen here, you're not in any state. He did stuff to you I would never dream of doing to my daughter as a father. He scarred you, made you feel worthless and drove you over the edge. You're in no state you're just scared and I understand that but I promise I will be with you and I will help you increase your self stability and your self conciousness. I will help you to feel good about yourself and not have to worry about a thing in the world because you're nearly eighteen, you should be enjoying life not fearing it. I will help you, I promise you that much Diana." He said before placing a gentle kiss upon my lips. "And that Niall James, is why I love you." I giggled, sitting you straighter and adjusting my pillow.
