"What? About Kakashi?" Akiko asked.
"Yeah." She huffed. "He isn't the cocky little dumbass he used to be. What happened?"
"Kakashi lost a lot people in his life, even after you left. Hatred and loneliness took over his life and he...changed. Rin was killed-"
"So I heard." Ayame hummed.
"His father was gone. Obito, Minato...He's changed. Guy's company has filled up his loneliness but there's still a hole in his heart that remains empty. You shouldn't be so hard on Kakashi; The past was the past, he's changed. He's different; a friend of mine who should be a friend of your's as well." Akiko smiled.
Ayame stared up at her as her eyes widened. She suddenly turned her back and crossed her arms, sticking her nose up.
"That's his problem." She grumbled.
"What?!" Guy and Akiko exclaimed.
"You don't feel any pity?!" Guy yelled.
"Feeling pity for someone's life is an insult, especially when that person has managed to live through it and emerge a...different person." Ayame began to work on her flowers again, Guy and Akiko left dumbfounded.
"You can be so hard-headed sometimes." Akiko pointed to her head, Ayame rolling her eyes.
"If you aren't going to help then why are you still here?" She turned, narrowing her eyes.
"Well, I actually wanted to inform you that Sayakah will be skipping a grade."
"What?!" Ayame exclaimed, turning.
"The academy said her skills surpass her age group and she'll be skipping a grade, therefore she will be taking her Genin exam this fall."
"That's..." Ayame whispered.
"Amazing! Your sister seems to be following in your footsteps."
"No." Ayame shook her head. "I wouldn't wish my pathway upon anyone, especially my sister. Sayakah's excelled at a young age, to the point where her teachers want to promote her to a higher grade." She argued.
"But look at the rate you're at now." Guy hummed.
"I'll be off then." Akiko stood. Ayame waved gingerly before turning to Guy. She crossed her legs and cocked her head.
"Why do you have such a strange haircut?" She asked, Guy defensively pointing.
"You're one to talk!" He yelled, Ayame narrowing her eyes.
"You're hair is shaped like a bowl!" She reminded him.
"There's nothing wrong with my hair." He pouted as she placed a hand on his dipped head.
"Calm down." She mused, tilting her head to the side as she smiled faintly. "I like the bowl-cut."
Guy's lips made an odd smile, Ayame drawing her hand back.
"You just had to ruin it you weirdo!" She squealed as he chuckled.
"Hey, Kakashi!" Guy turned, drawing Ayame's attention. "That took longer than a normal bathroom break."
"Didn't your mother teach you to mind your business?" He hummed and sat down. "An old lady needed help carrying her groceries back to her house."
Ayame and Guy narrowed their eyes and stared at him.
"Yeah...." Ayame turned, beginning to fold another flower. Kakashi sat beside her, watching her intently before copying her exact movements on his own flower.
"I heard about you." She chuckled, looking up at him. "The Copy Ninja of the Leaf. And you-" she glanced at Guy. "The Blue Beast of the Leaf."
"How'd you hear that?" Kakashi asked.
"I went around." She replied, narrowing her eyes. "What's up with the headband?"
Ayame leaned forward and before Kakashi could do anything she lifted it up.
Ayame froze in horror and fell back.
"Wh-what the hell?!" She whispered. Kakashi returned the headband to his eye, looking away.
"Obito gifted me his sharingan in his final moments." He replied. Ayame stared at him for a moment, not knowing what emotion she should feel.
Eventually she turned and returned to her paper flowers.
"Are you two usually in the parade?" She asked, Guy nodding sadly.
"We're looked up to by a lot of young shinobi and peers so we're included on the cloud flout where we stand beside the top three Kunoichi as well." Kakashi explained. "From the way Lord Third was talking, all three of us would have been included."
"What?!" Ayame exclaimed, burying her hands in her face. "Dumbass, Dumbass, Dumbass." She muttered. "Damnit! I could have showed everyone how different I am from when I was younger if I had been titled amongst the top three Kunoichi."
"Being titled wouldn't show anyone anything." Kakashi hummed. "The hardest workers stand up there, not the strongest. Your actions show your improvement. Not standing up on a float."
Ayame hummed and looked down, pouting slightly at Kakashi's argument. Her eyes suddenly widened and she grinned, shaking Guy's shoulders.
"I have an idea!!" She laughed, Guy yelling out as she yanked him back and forth.
"Well?" Kakashi asked, Ayame turning with a wide grin.
