Ayame made her way through town, meeting up with Sayakah on her way to Guy's house.

She walked with her silently, looking around at the village.

"Things haven't changed much." Ayame commented as Sayakah shrugged.

"People have changed." She replied. Ayame scoffed, looking up at the sky.

"You hungry?" She asked as Sayakah shook her head.

"I think Guy'll be excited to see you." She smiled. "He's always complaining about how you left all of a sudden and stuff." She yawned as Ayame chuckled and looked down at her.

"Really?"

"Kakashi too." She hummed.

"I've already seen Kakashi." Ayame informed her as they stopped infront of a house. She knocked on it softly, the door opening.

"Hey Sayakah." Guy yawned, his eyes glancing at Ayame before looking once more.

"Ayame!" He yelled, bowling her over in a hug. They rolled out into the street as she laughed, Guy shaking her shoulders.

"Don't ever leave usvagain!" He yelled as Ayame laughed.

"Okay, okay!" She grinned, Guy helping her up.

"I see you still haven't changed, Guy." She mused as he crossed his arms.

"What's that supposed to mean, huh?" He teased as Ayame laughed once more. "I see you're still short."

"Why is everyone calling me short?!" Ayame huffed, crossing her arms.

"Guy." Sayakah yawned as he looked back at her. "Can I go in now? I'm tired."

"Yeah yeah." He shooed her off.

"You sure you don't wanna sleep down at the house?" Ayame asked as Sayakah shrugged.

"I'll stay at Guy's for tonight." She replied, jogging forward to give her sister a hug. "Goodnight!" She turned and ran off.

Ayame turned to Guy as he gave her a small smile.

"You want to go out to eat?" He scratched behind his head nervously as Ayame shrugged.

"Only if you pay." She grinned, Guy nodding quickly. He led her out to a small restaurant, ordering a bowl of chicken wings.

Guy told her about the things she missed in the village as they ate. Ayame chewed on the bones, rambling about the intense training Jiraiya enforced upon Naruto and her.

"I'm surprised." He admitted as she gave him a curious look. "You already seemed strong enough to me."

"No one's ever strong enough." Ayame pointed out as he shrugged.

"That's a good point." He nodded, taking the last wing.

"Oh and look!" She tore her upgraded bow from its scroll, presenting it on the table. "I found this place and talked Jiraiya into paying for them to upgrade my bow."

"Woah. Wonder how you did that." Guy mumbled as she gave an innocent smile and shrugged.

Guy paid for the bill as Ayame placed her bow back over her shoulder, walking out beside him. They walked home, laughing about different things and small jokes.

She waved him goodnight and walked the rest of the way alone. She walked up the old steps to her door, unlocking it. To her surprise the inside was clean, unlike the outside of the house, and Ayame tore off her scrolls. She laid down, relieved at the comfort as she soon fell asleep.

Ayame gasped as she heard banging on her door, falling out of bed.
