Annabelle's P.O.V.

I opened my eyes, sluggishly, and looked around at the room. My eyes landed on the beautiful girl that was my mate snuggled up closely next to me. I smiled and kissed her forehead.

"Time to get up," I whispered.

"Five more minutes?" She asked.

"As much as I would love to say yes, I need to check on Rylie, then we need to get ready for school," I said, sadly.

Bailey groaned before opening her beautiful blue eyes, "Fine, I'm up."

I got out of bed and walked to the door, calling out, "you better be," before making my way to the medical center. As I walked, I grabbed a plate of food from the kitchen and headed to Isabelle's hospital room.

"Thank god, you have food," Isabelle exclaimed as I walked into the room. I chuckled and handed her the plate.

"So school today, I'm sort of nervous about it."

"An-Kylie, don't be. We have the knowledge back to 2000 years from our own memories, plus the rest that the Angel Council gave us. So... I think we're good," Isabelle replied, finishing her meal.

Now you see, both me and Isabelle where Chosen when we died. One thing you should know is that most Angels are Chosen when they die. Isabelle was murdered when she was 16 and I was killed in a freak accident when I was 17, so, technically, Isabelle has been an Angel longer than me by a year. I still remember when I got my wings almost 2000 years ago... It hurt.... A lot.

"I know but-" I started.

"No buts, we'll be fine. And if anyone tries to hurt us, well, we were Warriors, born to kick ass," she said with a smirk on her face.

"That was fun, especially on mission 34," I said, laughing. "You literally saved our butts from being tortured by back talking about the guy's hair."

Isabelle laughed, "I'm still surprised they let us go after an hour of that."

We both fell into silence, but burst out laughing when we looked at each other in the eye. By the time we calmed down we were both rolling around on the ground with tears streaming down our faces. To make it even better, the doctor was asking if we were okay mentally, which made us laugh even harder.

Isabelle stood up and dusted off herself then helped me up. Without warning, I hugged her, missing my old sister. When we were laughing, I saw her again after so many painful years. She tensed before wrapping her arms around me.

"I miss you, sister," I whispered.

I felt a tear hit my shoulder, "I miss the old me too, but I'm scared she won't come back." (A/N: I literally cried while writing this part.)

I pulled away from her, "Isabelle, you can be her again, just forgive everyone or let someone in. Please Isabelle, I want my sister back," I begged as tears fell from my eyes.

I could see her walls start to crumble and she started to let me in before *SLAM* the wall came back up and she pushed me away.

She walked over to the window and faced it, "well, she's gone. She died when our parents were betrayed by that basterd and got killed. She's never coming back," her voice was hard as steel. Tears flowed down my face and I ran out of the room.

"Hey, Kylie I was- what's wrong?" Chase stopped me, concern on his face.

I just sobbed and ran back to my room. I needed my mate.

"Hey, Kylie I was just- oh god, what happened?" Bailey asked as I ran into our room, sobbing. I slammed the door shut and fell against it until I was sitting on the floor, knees pulled to my chest.
