Chase's P.O.V.
When we got back to the pack house Isabelle and Annabelle told everyone to go outside while they cooked, which surprised me considering Isabelle doesn't look like the person to cook or do anything that doesn't involve killing, hurting or violence.
As the pack went outside my Dad pulled me aside.
"Chase, just some advice for you," he said and I nodded. "Isabelle is the kind of girl that will hurt first and ask questions later and don't ever pull what you did before. You know Isabelle's story now and you know that she doesn't need anymore pain in her life," he said and I nodded again, walking outside again.
"Oh and Chase," he called and I looked at him. "Just remember that she can kick your ass with her eyes closed and hands tied, so don't get her pissed."
I walked outside after saying good-bye to him. I watched in amusement as the children played tag, the guys played soccer or football, mothers talked to each other sitting in the shade and everyone else just enjoyed the company of their friends. Five minutes later I found myself playing catch with Andrew and some of the younger kids.
About an hour later, Annabelle came out and asked some of the older she-wolves to help bring out food and for someone to set up the long table. A couple minutes later, I was staring at a buffet of food from fruits to meat to salads to random snacks. Everyone grabbed a plate and pilled it high with food, including me, Isabelle, Annabelle and my Dad.
Everyone laughed and joked and just had fun, until Isabelle was carrying out a cake and stepped on one of Danny's toys. She slipped and the cake landed on her. Everyone held his or her breath until Annabelle burst out laughing. She was laughing so hard that she didn't see her sister walk up to her, picked up a bowl of pudding and poured it over Annabelle's head. Annabelle stopped laughing and glared at her sister and they started throwing food at each other until food hit other people and it turned into a food fight.
Until a piece of food landed on my face. Everyone stopped as I glared at Isabelle.
"You've got a little something right there," she said pointing at my face and Annabelle choked on her laughter. Isabelle fought a smile until she couldn't stop the laughter that came out of her mouth. Her sister joined, laughing so hard they fell to the floor.
Isabelle stopped laughing and looked at me, "Here let me help," and with that she poured a jug of ice-cold lemonade over my head.
The pack gasped and I put my hand behind me as Danny crawled over. He stuck a brownie in my hand and I smirked at Isabelle as I threw it at her face. And with that threw food fight was back on.
Half an hour later, we had run out of food and everyone was covered in food from head to toe. Isabelle had left to get cleaned up and came out a couple minutes later. She walked over to where I sat and sat next to me. I pulled her closer to me and we watched in amusement as children resumed their game of tag.
"I never thought I would say this but," Isabelle looked at me and smiled a soft smile. "I love you, Chase."
I grinned at her and kissed her forehead, "I love you, Isabelle... Even if you can be a crazy bitch sometimes." She laughed and snuggled closer to me.
"You know, someday the Council is going to give Annabelle and I our wings back and we will have to go back with them," she said, not looking at me.
I didn't say anything but I just hugged my mate closer to me.
To be honest, I was terrified to think that one day she will have to go back and I might never see her again.
'But as long as we live, our mate is staying with us and I will kill anyone who tries to take her away,' My wolf said, venom in his voice and I agreed.
My mate fell asleep and I picked her up bridal style, carrying her to her room. I tucked her in and kissed her forehead. As I walked to the door, something caught my eye. I walked over to the desk and picked up a drawing. It was absolutely amazing but sad. It was of an Angel with black wings spread out and her hair curtained her face. She was hugging her knees to her chest.
I looked at the bottom of the page and saw, in cursive, "I'm all alone in a world that is not my own." I looked back to my mate with a pained expression, before walking out of the room.
Annabelle's P.O.V.
She's back, my sister's back Was the only thing running through my head as I finished cleaning up and headed to bed.
"Why are you grinning?" Bailey asked once she saw me.
"Because after 2000 years my sister is back," I said. Yes, I told her everything.
She chuckled to herself, "You guys were really close when you guys where little, weren't you?"
"Well, when our parents died, Isabelle became my best friend, my mom and my sister, so, yeah, I guess we where close," I replied crawling into the warm bed and letting sleep take me away.
The next morning, I woke up early and quietly tip-toed out of my room. I walked into the kitchen and saw Isabelle and a mug of coffee.
"Morning, sis," I greeted her and she looked up at me.
She grunted in response. My sister was never a morning person and whenever someone tried to wake her up, they always ended up hurt. She even bit me once.
We sat in silence and she handed me a cup of tea, I've never been a coffee person, when the first of the pack started waking up. We looked at each other before heading our separate ways.
"Hey, there you are," Bailey exclaimed when I walked into our room.
"Hey," I said and got ready for school. "So, I was thinking after school we spend the rest of the day together, just us."
She smiled a bright smile and nodded, "Of course."
School went by quickly and I barely listened to anything the teachers droned on about. I raced home and quickly got things ready.
Bailey's P.O.V.
As soon as I got back to the back house I went to the room I shared with my mate. I gasped at what I saw.
Rose petals where spread around the room and a white rose laid on the bed with a note attached. I picked it up and read, "Welcome home, follow the red arrows, but first put one the outfit that's hanging in the closet. Love you! ~Annabelle" I smiled and opened the closet, putting on the simple shorts, t-shirt and shoes.
Turning around, I saw red arrows on the floor and followed them outside and into the forest. I kept on walking for 15 more minutes until I saw Annabelle, holding a bouquet of white roses. I grinned as happy tears filled my eyes. A picnic blanket lay on the ground with a basket to the side, three lit candles where in the middle of the blanket.
"A little birdy told me that white roses where your favourite," Annabelle said and I smiled at her. I walked over to her and kissed her, "Annabelle, this is the nicest thing anyone has ever done for me," I said and she pulled me into a hug.
We spent the rest of the day just talking about everything, from favourite colours to why the sky was blue. It was the best day of my life and every day I fell deeper in love with Annabelle.
All my life I have been looking for a place to call home, if only I knew that home would be a person and not a place.
