Rachel lay in bed, her hands behind her head, thinking about today. Her thoughts led to this morning with Harry and Remus, it just didnt make sense. Why had Remus shouted at her like that just for asking about her past and the fact that Harry may also be some relation to her? Was it that hard to answer the question? Just thinking about it was making her angry again, she became so infurriated just thinking about it. Her good day and mood had suddenly gone.
She sprung up from her bed making sure I didn't wake the girls. Before exiting the dorm and walked down the cold, concrete steps to the common room. The fire was still burning small embers, as Rachel entered she noticed she was not alone. Sat on the sofa closest towards the small fire, was Harry Potter.
"Hi." Rachel called softly, which made Harry jump slightly but smiled none the less when he saw who it was.
"Hey," He replied, beckoning her to sit next to him, "what ar-"
"Harry, I can't sleep. I can't sleep because I'm thinking of this morning." Rachel butted in.
Harry's face was expressionless as he turned to look at the fireplace. "Me too."
Rachel looked up at him and nodded. "I want to go and see Remus. I want to go and ask him because I'm not going to be happy untill I find out. What do we have to loose? A couple minutes of sleep. Come on Harry, come with me!" Rachel quickly exclaimed sitting on her knees in front of him.
"Wait. Why do I have to go?" He asked, rather stupidly.
"One, don't you want to what this morning meant? Two, Remus will most likely tell both of us and three... I don't want to get caught on my own."
"Fine." He sighed.
Rachel jumped up, grabbing Harry's hand and dragging him out of the door. They quietly creeped around the wall and corners, often pausing when they thought we heard the caretaker, Filch, or his beloved cat. They then arrived outside Remus' classroom but Harry stopped Rachel, who's hand was already on the handle.
"What if he's not in there?"
"Only one way to find out, huh?" Rachel sighed and flung the door open. It was empty, she looked at Harry defeated. But then the office door opened and out walked Remus, confused at the presence of both Rachel and Harry.
"What are you doing out of bed?" Remus questioned.
Rachel pulled up a seat and so did Harry, Remus came down the stairs and joined them. "About this morning... Remus please tell me." Rachel begged.
"Rachel..."
"No, Remus! Tell me! I'm not a little kid anymore... please."
Remus paused for a moment and stood up. "Come with me."
Remus led the students, without a word, to Dumbledore's office. Rachel and Harry exchanged glances as they headed up the spiralling staircase. Rachel's arms prickled with goosebumps as they entered the room.
In front of them was Dumbledore, sat at his desk as if he'd been expecting visitors. He gestured to the two seats in front of him, which Rachel and Harry took quickly. Remus stood next to Dumbledore, they both looked at the students with a blank expression.
"Excuse our clothing. I wasn't prepared for seeing you, headmaster." Rachel awkwardly joked.
Dumbledore nodded solemnly. "It has come to my attention, that you two may have discovered a secret - or a rumor shall we say - about your parents and possibly... relations." His voice was calm and cool. Rachel and Harry nodded. Dumbledore stood up and walked over to a cupboard made of glass. "What do you know, or should I say, think you know?"
