"IT'S CHRISTMAS, WAKE UP!" Ginny yelled at Rachel jumping on her bed. Rachel threw herself out of bed straight away causing Ginny to go flying but she didn't seem to mind.
"Woo!" Rachel yelled excitedly at Ginny. Ginny picked herself up off the floor and pulled two Father Christmas hats out and handed one to Rachel. The two girls sped out of the room round the house telling them to wake up. Rachel ran into Ron's room and jumped on their beds.
"Rachel? What the hell?" Ron mumbled groggily.
"You idiot get up! It's Christmas!" Rachel squealed in delight. Instantly the boys stood up and ran out of the room with Rachel, they sped down the stairs to the living room where the Christmas tree stood. Underneath was a pile of presents for everyone, the kids all stood looking in awe at the presents.
"Should we open them?" Ginny breathed.
"Of course not! Wait for our parents." Percy said in a tone that was harsh.
"Shut up, it's Christmas. We're not all stuck up like you." Fred huffed and nodded at Ginny to get a present. She rushed forward and dived under the tree to find herself a gift.
Just then Mr and Mrs Weasley came down stairs, beaming happily. Everyone exchanged the familiar greeting before sitting in a semi circle around the tree. Mrs Weasley began handing gifts out to everyone and Rachel was pleasantly surprised to find out she had one. She tore away the paper and found a soft knitted jumper waiting for her, it was a deep green with a white 'R' on the front.
"Thank you!" Rachel grinned happily, she glanced at everyone else's and saw they all had the same. Except for Fred and George who had swapped theirs around, so now Fred was wearing a jumper with 'G' on it.
Rachel began to hand her gifts out after. She had bought Fred and George some pranking supplies and also some muggle pranks; she thought that would amuse them. Ginny had 'Quidditch Through The Ages', Ron had lots of chocolates and sweets. Harry received a broom care kit, to which he was very grateful. Rachel had decided she ought to get Percy something so she bought him a neat little box to keep his beloved head boy badge in. Then Rachel pulled out the gifts for Mr and Mrs Weasley, they both clearly loved their presents and both gave Rachel huge hugs of gratitude.
It couldn't have been happier as Rachel looked around at the smiling faces of everybody. One thing about the Weasley's that Rachel would be eternally grateful for was how loving they were to her brother and herself. They treated them like family and the Potter twins treated them like family.
Rachel was particularly impressed with her presents and was entirely grateful. Off Ron she had many confectionary sweets, Ginny had bought her a lovely notepad, Percy had bought her a set of quills and the twins gave her a rather nice book that explained everything there was to know about pranking.
"I thought you'd like this Rach." Harry smiled handed a rectangular present which felt like a book.
She unwrapped the tissue paper and discovered a small brown photo album. As she turned a page she gasped, inside were photos upon photos of her parents.
"Where did you get this?" She beamed.
"Hagrid helped me." Harry explained.
Suddenly there was a tap at the window, everyone turned to see a grey owl perched on the windowsill.
"Oh Rachel could you let him in dear?" Mrs Weasley asked seeing as Rachel was closet to it. She stood up and opened the window to let the owl fly in but she was knocked over suddenly.
The owl, somehow, had a very large parcel strapped to its feet which had hit Rachel in the head. She got to her feet, rubbing her head in pain.
"It's actually for you Rachel!" Mr Weasley laughed handing the package over.
