It seemed as though the whole hospital fell silent as Draco stood sheepishly looking at Rachel. Oliver's face was growing angry as he glared at the Slytherin.
"What do you want?" He hissed.
Draco stood there slightly shocked, he had not expected the Gryffindors to still be with Rachel, he felt embarrassed and foolish.
"I..." Draco started looking for an excuse. "I had to come see how well Flint battered Potter up." He lied, he would not admit to the real reason he was there.
"Well, she's fine, better than what I'm going to do to Flint. You tell him-" Fred growled but Rachel stopped him.
"Leave it, Fred, Malfoy just go away. I'm fine, Flint didn't batter me up that badly." Rachel winced sitting up. Draco nodded still looking at her, he then noticed the angry glares he was receiving and turned on his heels and hurried off away.
Draco went around the corner and sat down. He put his head in his hands, why had he gone to see her? Did he really think she'd be alone after that? Angry at himself, Draco stood up and furiously stormed away. What would he have said to her anyway? Cursing under his breath he walked to his common room.
Back in the hospital wing, Fred was the first to break the silence.
"Well that was weird."
"You could say that again..." Hermione said looking at her robes.
"Right, Miss Potter you must take this now." Madam Pompfrey said, handing her a drink of some potion. "This is going to help with your leg and arm, then you must take this other one after - it should help your other injuries." She said placing a blue bottle down.
"So can I leave after?" Rachel asked.
"Well once you have had both potions, I'll just double check you're fine then you probably will be able to leave." she smiled and walked off.
"Hurry up and drink it then, you want to get of here don't you?" Fred said jokingly.
"Cheers!" Rachel laughed holding up her bottle of potion before taking a huge sip. But she pulled a disgusted face and gagged as she swallowed. "It tastes like goblin piss!"
"Nice..." Fred sarcastically said eyeing the bottle. Eventually she managed to drink both potions and after being checked by Madam Pompfrey, she was able to leave.
"How's your leg?" Ron asked watching Rachel faintly limp.
"Still hurts." She sighed but soldiered on to the common room. Once inside Rachel headed up to her dorm with Hermione to change.
"I'm going to get a shower." She called to Hermione as she entered the bathroom, she quickly stripped and hopped into the shower turning it on. The hot water ran down her body washing the dried blood away and clearing away her thoughts. Rachel reluctantly pulled herself away from the hot steamy shower and changed into some pyjamas.
Hermione lay on her bed, rubbing her temples and her eyes closed. Beside her she had a pile of books that looked as though they needed to be read.
"Hey, are you okay?" Rachel asked tying her hair up into a bun.
"I'm fine, just tired I guess. Taking these extra classes is hard work." Hermione sighed, removing her time turner necklace.
"Well I can always help with your work if you'd like? I don't mind, you always help me." Smiled Rachel.
"Really? You'd help me?"
"Of course! Although I'm not the smartest." She winked.
"Good enough for me!" Hermione laughed and so the two of them plodded through Hermoine's homework. Suprisingly Rachel did alright considering she had no idea what ancient rune she was analysing in the essay Hermione was making her write.
