Rachel had never had so much fun over the Christmas holidays. She was packing her bags ready to head back to school when she sat down on the bed. She shook her head in disbelief, she could not believe it was a new year already.

"You done packing?" Ginny popped her head around the bedroom door.

"Nearly, just have to get my broom." Rachel answered standing up to grab her broom.

"We're leaving in half an hour so I'm glad you said that. Ron hasn't even opened his trunk." Ginny rolled her eyes.

"That's our Ronnykins." Rachel chuckled.

She lugged her trunk down the stairs with much effort. Ginny ended up having to grab Charlie before he left to levitate the heavy trunk.

"Are you coming with us to the train station?" Rachel asked Charlie, she had become quite friendly with him. She was fascinated by his work, he worked in Romania with dragons!

"Course!" He laughed. "Got to make sure all the little squirts get on the train alright."

"What is it with everyone calling me squirt?" Rachel pouted. "I'm not that small!"

Charlie rose an eyebrow.

"You're just unusually tall!" Rachel moaned, it was true. All of the Wealey's were tall except for Mrs Weasley. The boys were taller than her and Ginny was nearly too.

After half an hour of Mrs Weasley yelling at Ron to hurry up, they arrived at the train station by floo network. Once there everyone ran to a trolley to dump their heavy trunks on.

Mrs Weasley suddenly gave everyone stern warnings on behaving.

"Molly dear, they're just having fun!" Mr Weasley laughed, Mrs Weasley shot him a look.

"Right, you better go and find a seat then come and say goodbye!" She instructed.

Rachel walked down the train to an empty compartment and slid the door open, Harry followed and so did Ron.

"I wonder when Hermione will get here?" Ron asked looking out the window. Rachel and Harry exchanged funny looks.

"Well, she'll get here when she gets here." Rachel said standing next to Ron.

"Why are you asking? You've never asked before." Harry pointed out.

"She's my friend as well you know." Ron said in a hushed tone as his ears went slightly pink.

"Come on, let's go say goodbye to your mum." Rachel laughed pulling Ron by the shoulders.

On the platform they exchanged their goodbyes for a final time to the Weasley parents. The others walked over and were given the traditional bone crushed hugs that Mrs Weasley gave. Just then Hermione ran through the wall that let wizards and witches onto the platform. As she walked across the station on her own, pushing her trolley, she saw the familiar faces of Harry and Ron.

"Hermione!" Harry called causing her to look away.

"Harry!" She ran over to him and gave him a hug. "Hi Ron." She greeted parting from Harry.

"Yeah... hi." He meekly waved back.

"Hermione!" Another voice yelled.

"Rachel!" She laughed hurrying over to her friend.

"How was your Christmas?" Rachel asked.

"Oh awfully boring." Hermione rolled her eyes. "What about yours."

"It was bloody amazing!" Rachel laughed.

They boarded the train as the whistle blew and it slowly puffed out of the train station.
