everyone gets their heart broken, for sure
it is one thing about life that we can't deny
who says vulnerability shows weakness?
some people get broken down too easily
but they have the gut and courage
to stand up on their own feet
pick up the broken pieces
and carry the world's burden
on their shoulder
some people have a diamond-like heart
beautiful and strong
but once it gets broken
they stand still not knowing
how to put the scattered pieces
back altogether.
what differentiates them
isn't their vulnerability
but their way to bear the pain
some people turn them into poetry
whose tears are pearls
worn around the neck with grace
some people seek for healing
to feel whole again
with the same thing
that broke them in the first place
how about you?
are you just gonna kneel there,
heads down,
crying over the shattered pieces
of what as valuable?
