|| Liv's POV ||

We had finally arrived at the place Harry was taking us to. It had taken us half the day and I'm already tired. I glimpsed out the window and noticed we were outside an old motel. The white paint was coming off, spider webs decorated the walls, and dirt and leaves covered the ground. I grimaced at how disgusting it looked but I'll have to deal with it.

Harry had parked into a spot across the motel, turned the ignition off, and climbed out of the vehicle. I began to open my door but Harry had beat me to it, holding out a hand for me to cling on to while I climb out as well. These small, little gestures always make my heart flutter and fill my stomachs with butterflies. Especially when he was 'jealous' over the tiny cop from earlier. I knew the guy was checking me out, which repulsed me, and I also noticed how pissed Harry had looked. A small smile appears on to my face at the sweet memory.

"Why are you smiling?" Harry questioned.

"Nothing..." I brushed it off and changed the subject. "So this is the place you dragged me to?"

"Yeah, about that... I have a few friends here that could help us. Also you might recognize some of them." I gave him a confused look but he just grasped my hand and tugged me toward the cheap motel. We stopped right in front of a door, 1B, and Harry knocked. It wasn't a normal knock, instead it had multiple ones like they do in the movies for a code. Two then five then one.

Just then the door swung open, revealing a guy. He had auburn colored hair with a beanie, hazel eyes, a black jacket on over white t-shirt, jeans, and sneakers. I instantly recognized him as Trey.

He warmly smiled down at me. "Nice to see you again, Liv."

I gave a small grin back and looked over at Harry. He already had his jaw clenched as he glared venomously at Trey, who was still smiling at me. Harry cleared his throat, which snapped Trey into reality. He gestured for us to come in and as we did, Trey brushed his hand against mine and closed the door. I tensed at the sudden contact. His hand was a bit cold and soft; completely different from Harry's - his were warm and rough. I was a bit startled and confused at the action but I brushed it off; maybe just an accident.

As we walked into the small room I noticed it only had a bed, a TV, a bathroom, and a small kitchen in the corner. Also, I caught sign of some mold in the back; I shivered in disgust. It's your basic motel, gross and stinky. I hope that Harry will be quick with whatever he has to do here before I throw up.

"So," Trey began, "what can I do for you guys?"

Harry sighed and ran his hand through his hair. "Um, can I actually talk to you... alone?"

I glared up at Harry at his questioning announcement. What could be so important that he would need to talk to Trey alone? Is it that secretive that it has to stay with him and not around me?

Trey just stood there, eyeing Harry when he shrugged and motioned him to follow; Harry did. I watched them leave the room and closed the door behind. I took a seat on the disgusting coach and waited, also trying to sort out all of my thoughts.

|| Harry's POV ||

Once we were outside and the door was closed, Trey started chewing me out. "Okay, um, what the fuck are you doing here? Especially with Liv? You know how dangerous it is for just you to show up but now you got someone with you! Are you asking for a death wish?"

"Trey, calm down alright? I know, it's a huge risk being here but I had no other choice."

"What do you mean...?" He questioned suspiciously. "Please tell me you didn't explain all of this shit to her?"

I remained silent, answering his question.

"God dammit, Harry!" He yelled. "You want Liv to get slaughtered, too?!"

"No! Of course not! I had to or else she would be putting herself and all of us in danger. Plus, she can defend herself."

"Oh, yeah?" He asked in disbelief. "How well?

I thought. "Pretty well if she puts her mind to it."

Trey just shook his head, pacing back and forth. "Harry... that's not good enough. She needs to be highly skilled and ready to kill if necessary."

I took a deep breath and released the final blow. "That's why I came here; to get her ready." He stopped pacing and looked up at me like he had seen a ghost or I'd gone crazy.

"You know I don't train anybody anymore, right?"

I shrugged nonchalantly. "You trained me."

"That was different back then!" He exploded. "If I had known Richard was going to use the men I've trained for cold-blooded murders, I wouldn't have gone through with it! He tricked me into believing they were going to be used as protection, not assassins."

A year ago, Richard demanded more and more from the business. He wanted more shipment, sellers, buyers, but most importantly - money. He would go to extreme heights just for it and well... let's just say he wasn't very smart back then. We soon belonged in debt. We offered consumers the drugs but they never got them because business was slow. The reason it was slow because god damn Richard never cared for his employees and he would either beat us into working harder or just simply kill us.

That was when he drew the last straw. The Rebels were formed. Rebels were former employees of the business that either enough of it or just plain out disagreed with the whole thing. The Rebels escaped the company and began taking down Nevermore ever since. But Richard hadn't known about the Rebels until about half a year ago. Once he knew about them, all hell broke loose.

Trey was our combat trainer. He was the best in the business and he would usually just teach defensive techniques in case of danger. One day, Richard demanded Trey to begin teaching his trainees how to actually fight and how to use a gun. Trey was a little hesitant at first but when Richard 'promised' it was just for protection of the company, Trey agreed. With newly trained fighters at Richard's fingertips, he was basically invincible.

What happened after scarred Trey. Richard began making his fighters as highly trained assassins, killing anyone without warning. Sometimes, the assassins would get a head of themselves at their new skill and just kill for fun.

Trey tried to end the chaos but it only got worse by the second. He had given up and joined the Rebels, hiding away from Nevermore and Richard.

"Trey..." I sigh and rub my face with my hands and look up at him, with pure determination in my eyes. "Lisa was your friend, right?"

"Wha-"

I cut him off. "Was she your friend?"

"Yea-"

I cut him off again. "What about Liv? Is she your friend?"

"Yes but what does this have to do wi-"

I'm going to cut him off every time if he doesn't shut up and listen to what I'm trying to say. "You want Liv to be killed, too? I surely don't."

"Well, no of course I don-"

"Then train her."

Trey stares me down and I do the same. I could see the conflict in his boring eyes and I'm dying he'll say yes. If he doesn't, then I guess I'm going to have to train her myself but I'm not as good as Trey is. We stand there for several minutes until he sighs and shakes his head, giving up.

"Alright, alright. Have her ready by midnight tonight. Any later and I'm kicking both of your asses out of here."
