The next morning, Elena had woken up to Damon holding a blood-bag in front of her face. "Thanks" She smiled as she took it from him and drank it quickly. She then looked around and realized she was in Damon's room. "I brought you upstairs last night" Damon spoke up. "You should come down, it's nearly 2 in the afternoon" Damon chuckled before leaving the room. Elena got out of bed and changed into a simple black top and jeans before heading downstairs. "What is she doing here?" Stefan asked his brother as Elena stepped into the living room.  "What do you mean?" Elena asked confused. "Yeah Stefan, what do you mean?" Damon questioned. "You're really gonna let that liar be in this house?" Stefan snapped. "Stefan!" Damon yelled. "No, I'm sorry. You may be okay with her being in your life but I'm not" The younger Salvatore shouted before leaving the room, making sure he barged into Elena on the way out. "Forget him" Damon sighed. Elena gulped as she went and sat down next to him. "He's right,I shouldn't be here Damon" She cried. "Don't listen to him, he's just angry he'll get over it." Damon smiled lightly. "I'm not talking about here. I'm talking about being in your life, I've brought you so much trouble" She whispered. "I mean,. I shouldn't be even be here, I should've died" She continued to cry. "Don't say that" Damon scolded. "Why not?! What good have I done to anyone?!, I've only ruined everyone's life" Elena wailed. "No, Elena,. You actually saved my life,. Just when I thought that I was irredeemable,. That no one would ever love me because of who I am and what I had done,. You came into my life, you showed me the light" Damon sighed as he kissed her forehead. "You lied to save yourself, and that's fine. You lost a lot Elena and you need time to heal, I understand" Damon smiled.

Bonnie sighed as she took a sip of her coffee. "Any news yet?" She asked as Caroline sat down in front of her. "She's not answering her calls" The blonde vampire whimpered. "Hey guys" Elena whispered as she approached them. "Lena" Bonnie smiled as she got up to hug her, as did Caroline. "You must hate me for.. You know" Elena said as she sat in the booth with them. "We don't hate you Elena. I mean come on, Stefan is overreacting" Bonnie scoffed. "Exactly. I mean how long did it take us to tell you our secrets?" Caroline smiled brightly. "Besides, none of this is your fault. It's all Klaus" Bonnie reassured her best friend. "Speak of the devil" Caroline spat. "What?" Elena squealed as she turned around to see Klaus walking towards them. "Er, I'm gonna use the restroom real quick" Elena gulped as she got up and walked away. As she reached the entrance of the ladies bathroom, she felt a strong masculine hand turn her around. "Klaus" She smiled timidly. "I am getting impatient luv. Where is my sister?" he snarled. "I don't know okay, Stefan hid her and he kinda hates me so-" Elena started to explain but was interrupted. "Get your phone out and call him, now!" Klaus growled. Elena took a deep breath as she pulled out her phone to call Stefan. "Pick up" She whispered. "I don't wanna talk to you" Stefan barked from the other end of the phone. Klaus rolled his eyes as he snatched Elena's phone from her. "Where is my sister?" He bellowed into the phone. "Why do you have Elena's phone? Where is she, what did you do?" Stefan asked in panic. "I'm right here Stefan, just tell him where Rebekah is" Elena shouted so Stefan could hear her. "Meet me near the cemetery" He told Klaus before ending the call. "Here you go" Klaus sighed as he handed Elena her phone and started to walk away.

"Why did you do it Klaus?" Elena blurt out all of a sudden. "Do what?" Klaus asked as he turned to look at her. "Compel me to kill my mom. Turn me into a hybrid?" Elena explained. Klaus chuckled to himself as he walked closer to Elena, eventually leaving only inches of space between them. "Because luv. Me and you are going to have a lot of fun together" He smirked as he brushed his finger against her cheek. "Anywho, can't stand around all day chit chatting, I have a cemetery to be at" Klaus grinned before leaving the Grill. The doppelganger stood there in confusion for a few seconds before returning to her friends. "I feel like you should tell Damon about this" Caroline suggested. "I can't Caroline. He's always looking out for me and I can't bare to put him through anymore" Elena sighed. "I can take care of myself, I'm a hybrid for gods sake" She chuckled.
