The next few days were tough as Elena struggled to keep herself together. She kept remembering what Marcel had told her and couldn't help but think that maybe Klaus had something to do with Caroline's death. "You ready luv?" Klaus asked as he opened the car door for Elena to get out, snapping her back to reality. "Yeah" Elena muttered as she got out of the car and they both walked into the cemetery. "Let's do this" She sighed as she walked towards where everyone was standing. She took a deep breath as she traced over the letters on the headstone in front of her. "I know you guys and Caroline weren't exactly best buddies but thanks for doing this" Elena smiled lightly as she turned to Rebekah and Elijah. "It's not a problem" Rebekah smiled back. After Elena had read out quite a few things she had written, everyone was heading home but Klaus had stayed with her. "You'll always be in my heart" She whispered as she kissed the tip of her fingers and placed them on top of the headstone. "Let's get home, you need to rest" Klaus spoke. "Sure" Elena mumbled as she stood up. "Just one thing" She then added. "What is it?" Klaus asked. "Did you,. Have anything to do with this?" The doppelganger gulped. "Are you kidding me? Are you seriously accusing me of killing her!" Klaus yelled. "I'm not accusing you of anything, I just asked" Elena scoffed. "You have some nerve" The original snarled before walking off. "Klaus" Elena called after him but gave up after he had vanished from the cemetery. "That's so like him, he gets upset so easily" A woman spoke from behind Elena. "What?" Elena questioned as she turned around to be faced with a familiar redhead, only she couldn't quite figure out who she was. "Do I know you?" She then asked. "Of course. I'm the one who you back stabbed, kinda like this" The woman growled as she plunged a dagger into Elena.

Whilst that was happening, Klaus had reached home and he wasn't in a good mood. As soon as he walked in, both his siblings noticed that Elena wasn't by his side. "Where is she?" Rebekah asked with worry. "Where do you think?" Klaus snapped as he walked away to his study. Elijah sighed as he followed after him with rage clearly evident in his face. "Niklaus what happened?" He asked his brother calmly. "She accused me of killing that rat!" Klaus roared. "I wouldn't blame her" Elijah snarled as he slammed the door shut and returned to his sister. "If she isn't back in an hour then we'll go get her" He told her before walking away.

Meanwhile, Elena was just about waking up after the redhead woman had snapped her neck. "What the hell" She mumbled as she tried to move but saw that she was strapped to a metal chair. "Let me go!" She cried with fear. "Shut up, no one can hear you" The woman snapped as she entered the room. "What do you want" Elena gulped. "What we all want. Revenge" The redhead smirked. The doppelganger groaned as she struggled to break free from the chains. "No use, they're vampire proof" The witch chuckled. She then walked over to a table which had multiple syringes and bottles laid out on it. She picked up a syringe and hummed as she changed the tip. Elena furrowed her brows as she looked up, and then her face suddenly dropped. "That,. that tune. I've heard it before. But.. That's not possible" She whimpered. "Oh go on, say it" The woman smirked. "Genevieve" Elena mumbled. "Correct" The red haired witch jeered as she turned to face her. "You look.. different" The hybrid spoke. "Well of course I do dear, I couldn't just walk around with burn marks all over my face now could I" Genevieve laughed maniacally as she jabbed the syringe full of wolfsbane into Elena. "Why are you doing this?" The young hybrid groaned."Remember that time you pretended to befriend me just so I could rid you of your werewolf curse?" Genevieve grinned. "That's why" She whispered into Elena's ear with a chuckle. "You put a hex on Jenna" Elena cried. "She was just collateral damage" The witch grinned. She spent the next few minutes waiting for Elena to pass out before she left to capture the person she really came for.

"Where the bloody hell is she Nik!" Rebekah yelled into her phone as she paced around the cemetery. "I'm coming, don't go anywhere" He sighed before ending the call. "How could you let this happen?" Hayley scoffed as she glared at Klaus. "Just be quite" Klaus snapped as he headed for the door but when he opened it he was faced with a surprise. "Hello Klaus" Genevieve smirked before flicking her wrist, causing his neck to be snapped. "Get out!" Hayley yelled as she grabbed a vase and threw it at her. "Gosh you werewolves are so aggressive" Genevieve sighed as she snapped her fingers, causing Hayley to black out. "Good girl" She chuckled as she picked her up and carried her away in her arms. Within minutes, she was inside the old church and had placed Hayley on one of the benches. "Chain her down" She ordered the other witches. As they did so, the werewolf began to slowly wake up. "Let go of me!" Hayley shrieked as she kicked the witches whilst they carried her to a table and chained her down. "Release me!" She screamed as she tugged on the chains. "Hush now, we need to lure that delicious brunette original over here" Genevieve grinned as she searched for Hayley's phone in her pockets. "Jackpot" She chuckled as she pulled it out and began searching for Elijah's number. When she found it, she dialled it and put the phone to her ear. "Tape her mouth" She snapped at one of the witches. "Where the hell are you and where is Hayley?" Elijah roared from the other side of the phone. "Hello to you too" Genevieve smirked. "Where is she?!" The original yelled. "Old church. You've got five minutes and then, it's bye bye Hayley and the baby" The red haired witch grinned before ending the call.

As soon as Elijah told Klaus where the witch had taken Hayley, they both rushed off to rescue her before the witches could do any harm. "Release her!" Elijah roared as he pushed open the church doors and walked towards the front of the church where all the witches had surrounded Hayley. "I don't think so" Genevieve smirked as she turned to face him. As Elijah was about to snap her neck, she had him in the air and pinned against the wall. "I will kill every last one of you!" Klaus boomed as he sped to the witch, but before he could do anything she also pinned him against the wall with her magic. "Hurry up" The red haired witch then snapped at the rest of the girls. The young witches stepped back as they began chanting a spell. "Let's kill that baby" Genevieve smirked. "Don't you dare!" Elijah yelled helplessly. However, everyone's attention was suddenly drawn towards the church doors as they flew open.

"Next time, maybe you should use hybrid proof chains" Elena grinned as she walked in. Whilst the witches were distracted Hayley tried to untie herself, unfortunately for her one of the witches noticed. "Genevieve we don't have time" She squealed. The redhead witch rolled her eyes as she turned towards them and as she did, Elena took the opportunity to snap her neck. "Move an inch and I'll kill the girl" Genevieve snapped without even turning around. The hybrid whimpered as she stood still and listened to Hayley's wails and cries of pain. She then shook her head before speeding towards Genevieve and holding her by the throat. "Let them go" She growled. The witch snarled as she muttered something, causing both Mikaelson brothers to fall to the floor. Before any of the other witches could do anything, Klaus had sped towards them and ripped all their hearts out whilst Elijah untied Hayley. "Now, how do you wish to die?" Elena chuckled as she tightened her grip on the witch. "It's not only me who is after that baby, there will be many others" Genevieve gulped. "Well then we'll kill each and every one of them" Klaus smirked. "You don't understand, the ancestors can't let this baby be born, every witch will come after it in order to make sure they dont- " Before Genevieve could finish her sentence, Hayley had come up from behind her and ripped her head off. "No one messes with me or my family" She snarled. "Let's get you home" Elijah sighed.

As they all headed home, Elena took a quick detour towards the cemetery. She sat beside Caroline's headstone and stared at the night sky. "Oh Care, I miss you so much and its only been one day" She sighed. "It's been so hectic. That Genevieve bitch who hexed Jenna, she came here to kill Hayley and the baby" She scoffed. "But of course, I will protect them. Because that's me. I care for people too much and after what happened to you, I'm not gonna take any chances" Elena huffed. She then sensed a familair scent from behind her. "Davina" She scowled as she stood up. "I was walking past, and I heard the name Genevieve" The young witch smiled. "You know her?" Elena questioned. "Yeah, she works for the ancestors" Davina replied. "Worked. Hayley killed her" The hybrid smirked. "What? No, no she can't. Do you realize what the ancestors will do? I've heard about how this miracle baby will bring death to all witches and the ancestors will stop at nothing to make sure it dies" Davina explained with panic on her face. "Well you tell those ancestors that it's not gonna happen. I've lost too many people and I'm not about to add another name to that list" Elena growled before walking away.
