The next morning Hayley took Elena to visit their pack, making sure Klaus didn't find out. "This is Jackson" The young wolf smiled as she introduced him to Elena. "Nice to meet you" The Doppelganger smiled politely. "You too" Jackson smiled back. "So. Hayley tells me you two are supposed to get married" Elena smirked. "Elena!" Hayley snapped in embarrassment. "Aha yeah, it's just some stupid tradition" Jackson chuckled. "Have you made a decision yet?" He then asked as he looked at Hayley. "I don't even know you. We just met. I don't want to rush anything" Hayley sighed. "We have plenty of time to get to know eachother" Jackson smiled. "Okay now I just feel like a third wheeler" Elena giggled as she left to go explore. "She seems nice" Jackson told Hayley. "She is" The young wolf grinned to herself.
As Elena was exploring the bayou, she noticed an old lady staring at her. At first she shook it off, but then became curious and approached her. "Can I help you?" The hybrid kindly asked. "Elena Gilbert" The woman spoke, causing Elena to gulp. "H-How do you know my name?" She stuttered. "You look just like your mother" The woman replied with a smile. "You knew her?" Elena asked. "Oh yes. She stayed with us when she was pregnant with you" The old woman explained. "What do you mean knew?" She then questioned. "She died" Elena muttered. "Oh I am ever so sorry" The woman smiled apologetically. "May I ask how?" She asked. The hybrid gulped, not knowing what to say. "Witch. A witch killed her" She lied. "I'm terribly sorry" The old woman apologized. "It's nothing to worry about" Elena smiled gently before continuing to search the bayou. As she got further into the forest, she saw a woman with red hair who had her back turned to her. "Hello?" Elena yelled as she moved towards her. As she did, she heard a twig crack from behind her. She looked back but no one was there. Sighing, the hybrid turned around, only to notice that the woman was no longer there. "What the" She mumbled.
As the day went on Elena got to know more of her pack, and Hayley finally made a decision. "If it's what they wanted then, it should happen" She smiled at Jackson. "Wait so does that mean we're getting married?" Jackson asked with a big grin. "Yeah I guess it does" Hayley chuckled before pulling him into a hug. "I promise to keep you and your baby safe" He then whispered into her ear, earning a soft smile from her. As they cuddled for a brief moment, they heard shouting from outside. "What now?" Hayley groaned as they pulled away from each other. "Come on, let's go check it out" Jackson sighed as he held her hand and pulled her out with him. When they got outside, there was a crowd and people were shouting at the top of their lungs. "Excuse me" Hayley yelled as she pushed through the crowd. When she got to the middle, she saw one of the blonde guys from the pack strangling Elena. "Get off of her!" She snapped angrily as she pushed him away. "You okay?" She asked the Doppelganger. "Yeah" Elena sighed as she gently rubbed her neck. "Clear off. All of you!" Jackson yelled as he shooed them all away. "What happened?" He then asked as he rushed over to Hayley and Elena. "We don't want a hybrid in our pack!" The blonde werewolf snapped. Hayley growled as she stood up and grabbed him by the shirt. "Hayley, leave it" Elena whimpered. "You better watch yourself mister or the next time you see me will be in hell!" Hayley snarled.
