The young hybrid groaned loudly, replacing the previous sound of silence. "What is it now?" Rebekah sighed. "I want blood" Elena smirked. "You just had a blood bag" Caroline stated with an eye roll. "I want it from the vein" Elena replied with a scoff. "Well then, let's go" Rebekah grinned as she stood up to leave. "You coming?" She asked Elena before speeding out. The brunette chuckled to herself before speeding after her. "Wait for me!" Caroline squealed. Soon after, all three of them were behind the dumpsters near the Mystic Grill, feeding on innocent bystanders. "She was tasty" Elena said as she licked her lips and threw the body to the ground. "Hey, be careful! You can't just leave bodies scattered around" Caroline whined. "Fine" Elena sighed as she picked the body up and threw it in a dumpster. "What now?" She then asked, clearly bored. "A drink at the grill?" Rebekah suggested. "Sure" Caroline and Elena agreed in unison as they all walked through the entrance. "You guys go find a booth, I just need to clean this blood real quick" Elena said as she headed for the ladies room. Minutes after she was gone, Caroline and Rebekah were chatting away when a certain vampire showed up at their table. "Ladies" He smirked. "What do you want you scumbag" Caroline retorted. "Rude" Damon scoffed. "I suggest you hurry up and say whatever it is you need to say before I rip your head off" Rebekah smirked. "Fine. I just thought I'd let you know that the bitch is back" Damon sighed with an eye roll. "Who?" Caroline asked confused. "If this is some scheme of yours to piss us off, then well done because you are pissing me off" Rebekah growled. "Hold up. You don't mean..." Caroline took a pause as she looked over at Damon in fear. "Yup" Damon nodded. "Who?" Rebekah yelped. "Katherine" Damon grinned. "I'll let you ladies have a nice day" He then said before walking off to the bar.

Seconds later, Elena walked out of the restroom and was shocked to see Damon. She immediately walked over to where her friends were and tried to hide herself. "What is he doing here?" The brunette squealed. "Katherine's back" Caroline blurt out. "What?" Elena shrieked as she shot up. "Well that's what Damon said" Rebekah scoffed. "This can't be happening" Elena whimpered. "Elena" She heard a familiar voice call. She looked over and saw Damon standing there with a smile on his face. He was as gorgeous as ever and his icy blue eyes seemed as if they were staring right into her soul. "Damon" She gulped. "Could we talk for a sec?" He asked before walking back to the bar. "Don't!" Caroline yelled as her best friend rose from her seat. "Care,. We're just gonna talk. Okay" She sighed before joining Damon at the bar. "What is it?" Elena asked. "I wanted to apologize. For being a dick" The vampire replied. "Yeah, I should think so" The hybrid replied with a scoff. "Look, I don't expect you to forgive me but I came to warn you" Damon huffed. "About what?" Elena asked confused. "About the Mikaelsons-" Damon started but Elena interrupted him. "Seriously Damon? You can't take it that I'm being happy with other people so you're gonna start making up some wicked lies!" Elena yelled with frustration. "No Elena! They are dangerous. The more closer you become with them, the more easier you'll be to hurt. Katherine told me that she awoke Mikael, and he's on his way to Mystic Falls" Damon explained.

Rebekah shot up from the table and sped over to Damon and Elena. "What the bloody hell did you say?" She barked at Damon. "Mikael is coming" He repeated with a smirk. "Who is this Mikael?" Elena asked. "My father. And he's right Elena, he is dangerous. The more you bond with us, the easier it will be for him to use you as leverage" The blonde vampire whimpered. "Why are you so scared of him?" Elena questioned. "He tried to kill Nik, so I asked a witch to put some kind of sleeping spell on him. Now that he's awake, he'll be after us both" Rebekah gulped. "Wether you like it or not, I'm staying with you and I'm not gonna let him touch you" Elena announced confidently. "No Elena, you're not. I'm not going to let you risk your life for her!" Damon snapped. "Last time I checked, you were rolling around in bed with my best friend, so don't act as if you care about me!" Elena snarled before walking off. "You know, I think my brother is attracted to her. I mean, who wouldn't be?" Rebekah chuckled. "Don't test me blondie" Damon growled. "Suck it up Salvatore. She's over you" The blonde original smirked slyly before walking back to her table.

[later in the evening]

"You are staying here, and that's final" Klaus shouted. "I can look after myself." Elena snapped back. "It didn't seem like it when your boyfriend hit you with a bottle of bourbon" Klaus yelped. "Nik!" Rebekah warned. "It's the truth. You're weak Elena, you can't fight my father and I won't let you" Klaus sighed. "Why do you even care what happens to me?" Elena questioned angrily. "Because luv, I happen to like you" Klaus replied with a smirk. "You what?" Elena scoffed. "Are you really that blind? Don't you see the way he looks at you" Rebekah laughed. "I'm flattered and all, but you're not gonna stop me from fighting off Mikael" Elena grinned confidently. "Oh yeah?" Klaus questioned as he sped to Elena and pushed her against the wall. "Like I said, you're weak and vulnerable. And I happen to enjoy you're company so let's try to keep you safe yeah?" Klaus chuckled. "Well, if you care so much about my life then why can't I do the same for you?" Elena whined at Rebekah. "Because Elena, we know our father. His strengths and weaknesses. You've only just found out about him and I doubt you're ready to face him" Rebekah replied with a sigh. "Wait here" Klaus said as he sped away and then returned with a blood bag. "Drink it" He ordered as he gave it to Elena. "Isn't that.. Mothers?" Rebekah asked confused. "Yes dear sister, it's Mothers blood" Klaus smirked. "Ew. I don't want that" Elena complained. "Listen here luv, my mother is a witch and her blood will prevent you from any harm. Now drink"
