Elena groaned as she got up from the cold ground. Marcel had thrown her out and gotten Davina to put up a spell around the church. She then sped towards the door but was pushed back by an invisible barrier. "Just give me the damn Original!" Elena yelled helplessly. She tried several different ways to try and get inside but nothing seemed to work. "Just stop for gods sake" A young girl sighed with annoyance as she appeared in the church doorway. "Look, I just want Elijah and then I'll be on my way" Elena interjected. "You're different, I can sense it. So just this once, I'm willing to make an offer. If i give you Elijah, do you promise not to harm any of us witches" Davina spoke. "Of course, I promise" Elena lied, hoping the young witch wouldn't catch her out. "So, do we have a deal? You return Elijah and I stay away from you?" She grinned. The witch flashed a quick smile before going back to the attic to set Elijah free. Minutes later, he appeared in the doorway. "Lijah" Elena sighed happily and she ran to hug him but was pushed back by a barrier. "Oh, sorry about that but it's gonna have to stay up" Davina chuckled. "Well, we should get home" Elijah laughed as he linked arms with Elena. "You owe me" She giggled as they both walked away from the church.

"Ah, look who's back" Klaus smirked as Elijah walked through the door with Elena behind him. Before other words could be exchanged, Elijah sped to Klaus and had him in a headlock. "Guys" Hayley sighed as she rubbed her stomach. "I'm going to kill you!" Elijah yelled as he pushed Klaus onto the ground. "Doubt that brother" Klaus grinned as he jumped back up. "How could you?!" Elijah yelled as he swung for Klaus but missed. "It was all part of the plan, and I'm guessing it worked" Klaus smiled. "You could've at least told me before you daggered me!" Elijah yelled with anger. "Guys main thing is we now know what we can use against Marcel" Hayley spoke. "Exactly. So technically Elijah, you did us all a huge favour" Elena gleamed. "Where's Caroline?" She then asked as she looked around the room. "Ah, that little rat needs to be shown who's boss" Klaus mumbled. "Excuse me?" Elena scoffed. "I get that she's your best friend, but she's just too much at times" The hybrid replied carelessly. Elena opened her mouth to say something but no words would escape.

"ELENA!" Rebekah yelled as she entered the parlour. "What's up?" The doppelganger asked worriedly, sensing that something was wrong. "Caroline,. She.... You need to see this" Rebekah gulped as she ran up the stairs and into the hybrids bedroom. Elena furrowed her brows before running after her, but stopped in her tracks and screamed at the horrific sight in front of her. Caroline was on the floor, lifeless. Her head was ripped apart from her body and there was a pool of blood surrounding her. "Caroline!" Elena roared as she felt onto her knees. Her bedroom window was smashed and it looked like a horror movie, only real. "What's going on?" Elijah asked as he walked in with Klaus and Hayley behind him. "I found her like this" Rebekah whimpered. "No, no please" Elena wailed as she shook Caroline's desiccated body. "Elena, she's gone" Elijah gulped. "How? How could this happen" She asked as tears streamed down her face. "We need to clean this up" Klaus sighed. "No" Elena muttered as she stood up. "What we need to do is kill who did this!" She howled as she wiped away her tears. "You don't even know who did this" Klaus announced. "Are you blind?! We saw Marcel rip that witches head off the other day, it was obviously him!" Elena shrieked, causing her eyes to flash an amber color. She then looked at Caroline once more before beginning to head out. "Where are you going?" Hayley asked with panic. "To show Marcel what it looks like when someone messes with the people I love" Elena snarled before speeding away. "I can't even bare to look at her. She didn't deserve it" Elijah shook his head. "From where I stand, it looks like she had it coming" Klaus scoffed. "Nik!" Rebekah yelled with fury."Niklaus, you can be vile at times but even I wouldn't expect that from you" Elijah snapped.

After seeing the state her best friend was in, Elena was not just about to let Marcel get away with it. As she approached the compound, a group of vampires were walking towards her. "Get the hell out of my way!" She roared as she pushed away every vampire that was coming for her. "You're not allowed here" One vampire said as he tried to hit Elena but she snapped his neck. "Marcel!" Elena shrieked. "Hey hey, easy my guys are stronger than you" Marcel smirked as he jumped off the second balcony and came face to face with Elena. "Why the hell did you kill her?!" Elena yelled as she punched Marcel. He growled as he held her by the throat. "I didn't kill anybody, but if you want I could kill you right now!" Marcel hissed. "There's no need to retort to such violence" Rebekah sighed as she walked into the building. "Bekah" Marcel whispered as he let Elena go. "Long time no see" The blonde original smiled. "Yeah I guess it has" Marcel replied. "We should get going Elena" Rebekah then said as she turned to the doppelganger. "He killed Caroline, and you want me to just leave him?" Elena questioned. "Marcel is many things but a liar. If he said he didn't do it then, he didn't" Rebekah spoke. "Are you being serious right now! I saw him rip that witches head off, just like he did to Caroline" Elena snapped with frustration. "Hold up. I have been here all day and I have many witnesses which Rebekah can compel, I wouldn't lie. Plus I have no reason to kill your friend" Marcel interjected. "No, you're lying. That's what people like you do, you lie. You don't care who gets hurt and that's why you killed Caroline" Elena scoffed. "It wasn't me!" Marcel shouted. Rebekah sighed as she called for one of the vampires who was just standing around. "Did Marcel leave this compound today?" She asked as she stared into his eyes. "No" Was his reply. Rebekah shrugged her shoulders as she looked over at Elena. "It wasn't him" She whispered. "Well then who the hell was it?!" Elena yelled. "Someone who is out to get me" Marcel scoffed as he shook his head. "Who was with you the night I killed that witch?" He asked Elena. "Klaus. But..What does that have anything to do with this?" The hybrid growled lowly.

Rebekah scoffed as she glared at the vampire and then shook her head. "You can't possibly think that Nik would do something like that" She quizzed. "Who else was it then?" Marcel snapped. "I can't do this. I don't have it in me to listen to this crap" Elena spoke lowly before leaving the compound. When she reached the Mikaelson's residence, she immediately ran upto her room only to find that Caroline was no longer there, only stains of red remained on the floor. "Where is she?" Elena shrieked as she ran down the stairs and into the parlor. "Elijah took her to the old church where Marcel keeps that witch. He'll tell us if anything can be done" Hayley replied. The doppelganger swallowed thickly as she sat down on the couch. "You can talk to me" Hayley said as she stroked her arm. "What am I supposed to say?" The hybrid cried as she looked up. "She's dead, Caroline is dead" Elena wailed as tears streamed down her face. She then stood up and threw the coffee table across the room, causing it to shatter into pieces. "Elena stop" Hayley ordered. "I know you didn't ask for any of this but,.. You're strong, you can get through it" She continued. "I don't think I can" Elena sobbed. "Not this time" She whimpered.
