"Beep Beep", a text message arrived for Lis, she opened it with half closed eyes "Meet me and my mum and dad's about tenish to pick Tom up". She looked at her clock on her phone it was 8.30am. She thought just another half hour to lay in bed and wake up properly. She began scanning her messages, she got a couple from Frankie and Tina thanking her for going out. She had a notification on her twitter too. She opened up the direct message which was sent last night, she read it once and then she sat up and read it again, "He's been looking at my tweets" she thought, she smiled. Maybe he felt the same way she did, she wondered.
She got up out of bed, had a shower, blow dried her hair and tied it up neatly. She put on her maxi dress and belt which accentuated her curves. She put on her makeup and made her way downstairs. She had some cereal and turned on the television. Her head wasn't too bad considering how much she had last night. Lis thought that today would be a good day to take Tommy shopping for some new clothes, so when she picks him up they could go straight to Lakeside.
It was quarter to ten, she left the house and made her way to Dave's and Dawn's. She was never late for things, appointments and she thought it was rude. She arrived at their house and was greeted by Dawn, "Hi hun, they are not here yet, come in have a cup of tea" Dawn said hugging her and kissing her cheek. "Sure thanks Dawn, how are you? Haven't seen you in a while" Lis carried on. "Well Olly has been off so he has been doing the daddy stuff" Dawn responded. "Doing pretty well ain't he?" Lis blushed. "Yes, must say he is smiling alot more lately" Dawn said. Lis sipped on her hot tea, they heard a key turn in the door both expecting Olly to come through the door. It was Faye, Olly's sister with her son Louie "Hi mum, you alright?, Olly here yet?" she began walking through the hallway, "Oh sorry mum didn't realise you had company" Faye said. "Oh no, it's ok this is Lisa, Tommy's mum" Dawn followed, "Olly had Tommy last night and Lisa is here to pick him up". Lisa smiled and gave Faye a hug. Louie began crawling toward his nanny, "Oh hasn't he got so big, come to nana Louie", "He is so cute" Lisa said. "So what are your plans today then Lisa" Faye asked, "Well, I'm going to go shopping at Lakeside, Tommy needs some new clothes" she responded. The three women were talking like they had all been friends for years. "I don't know where Olly has gone it's half ten now" Dawn asked. He soon arrived.
"Hi mum, Faye, come here Louie" Olly said all giving them a kiss on the cheek and playfully throwing up Louie in the air. "Sorry we are late, boys had a lie in", the boys ran out in the back garden to start playing football. Lis followed. Olly had a short conversation with his mum and sister "I think I like her" his eyes pointing towards Lis' direction. "What?, that's brilliant she's lovely" Faye responded. He simply responded " I know". "She is going to Lakeside shopping with Tommy today, maybe if we can go with her and find out if she likes you and you look after the boys" Faye plotted.
"Hey Tommy, we have to go shopping hun". Olly, Faye and Dawn all followed outside, Lis began getting herself ready and composing herself to go "Thank you so much for having Tommy, I hope he was a good boy" Lis said. "But mum, I don't want to go shopping, I want to play football with Charlie" Tommy replied. Olly nudged Faye and Dawn."I could do with going to Lakeside" Faye interrupted, "It's fine leave the boys with me, I don't mind" Olly concluded. "But you had him last night", he looked into her eyes and touched her hand, "It's fine go and do some shopping, mum and Faye will go with you". Lis, didn't make it apparent but her heart melted a little, "well if your sure, thank you" she said giving him a hug.
The girls and Louie made their way to Lakeside and started shopping. They went to all of the children's clothes shops and spent a pretty fortune. They stopped for coffee, "So Olly he's a nice guy right" Faye laughed, "Yes of course, he's nice such a great dad" Lis answered. "Yes such a shame that he hasn't got a special lady in his life, I think he has a soft spot for you Lisa" she interrupted and pointed towards Lisa. "He's got girls falling at his feet all the time, and could get any girl he wanted, why would he like me" she laughed. Just then, Faye received a text message "I'm going to plan something special for tonight for her, keep her out a bit longer". Right girls come on, let's go to the salon get makeovers and treat ourselves. Lis thought that sounded a good idea, she needed a new look. They all looked great, hair volumised and and make up perfected. "Wow, we look gorgeous" Faye said.
