The time had come for Olly and his band to go America for his big break to make him an international superstar; one of his dreams. He had enjoyed a blissful 2 weeks with the boys; he was happy. Lis was quiet and unusually moody, Olly put his arm round her neck "don't worry baby, it'll be ok, I'll miss you too" he said. "Yea I am going to miss you, but you gotta do what you gotta do, I'll see you in a month yea?" she replied. "Of course babes, I'll call you and skype you when I can, look at me babe, look at me" she looked into his eyes "I love you ok, stop being silly, come on you're all coming to the airport with me. They got into the car and made their way to the airport. They soon arrived, they went into the departures area, the band and Sarah were waiting. " Hey you guys, nice to see you here" Sarah said. Lis smiled and made small conversation with the band. "Oh Lisa, before I forget can you take a look through this, it's just the contract for America and without Olly about thought you may want to have some light reading" Sarah asked passing her a 100 page document. "Light reading?" she laughed "No worries at least I'll have no distractions when the boys are in bed". "Thanks for that" Sarah hugged Lis and said "don't worry I'll look after him". Sarah knew what Lis was thinking.
"Hey babe, have you checked twitter lately?" Olly asked Lis. "No, I'll check it later" Lis responded. "Well make sure you do, right babes we got to go through, boys come here give us a hug" Olly said hugging and kissing the boys. Lis tried to keep in her tears, a single tear rolled down her cheek, Olly wiped it away, he's head turned towards to the boys "look after your mum ok?". He's head turned towards her, grabbed her face with both hands, he kissed her on the lips and said "I love you, you have made me so happy, it's a month babe". Lis with falling tears " I love you too babe, I'll look after Charlie for you". "Olly, come on their calling us" Sarah shouted. Saying their last goodbyes, Lis walked with the 2 boys not looking round and wiped the tears away from her eyes, trying to be strong. Olly looked back and the tears were falling down his face, "It's ok man, it's only a month" Dan comforted Olly placing his arm around Olly. "It's just..." Olly sighed. "I know" Dan said. They walked to the departure gate and boarded the plane. Olly was unusually quiet on the plane, solemn and withdrawn, he fell asleep.
Lis made her way home, she pulled up when she remembered what Olly said "Check twitter". She noticed there were many notifications on her twitter, "blimey I didn't realise I had so many followers" she said to herself. She went onto Olly's page and read his latest tweet "Thank you to @lisammurs for making me so happy". She smiled, held the phone to her heart. She read some of them, the majority were really happy for Olly meeting someone and putting a smile on his face. "I must be special, for him to be telling his fans"she thought to herself, that put alot of comfort to her.
Olly, Lis, Tommy and Charlie communicated via Skype and phonecalls and text messages for 2 weeks. Lis found it exhausting and missed Olly immensely, his company, the laughs they had and the intimacy.
Olly had been busy for the past two weeks promoting his new single, radio promotion and showcases around America. The two weeks had flown past, he accrued lots of new fans which was their aim but he was lonely after a long hard working day. He took comfort in his phone calls, text messages and skype chats.
"Hey Sarah, I'll be getting in about 6pm your time, can someone pick us up or shall we grab a taxi?" Lis called Sarah, "It's fine, it's all sorted" Sarah was trying to speak in code as she was in the presence of Olly. "Ok, I'll see you soon" Lis concluded, "Ok, bye" Sarah shut off her phone. "It's fine, just where we are going today to see if everything is sorted for the interview" Sarah tried to back herself up. She shouldn't have worried as Olly was asleep in the car. Olly did his performance in which he was well received from the media.
"Hey, that went really well" they all highfived each other. It was 7 oclock and they made their way back to the hotel, Sarah had been keeping the secret that Lis and all the partners were coming to surprise them, they still hadn't arrived yet. Sarah remained loitering by reception and the band made their way up to their hotel rooms to get showered before going out for dinner at night.
