When I was young I was bullied often. I started to learn to isolate myself, avoiding everyone. Humans and demons alike. I always did everything alone even if we were supposed to have partners. I didn't care. My parents never knew about what happened at school. I never informed them about it and I don't regret it. Most people would say that this power is a gift. Though I think it's more of a curse.

Me and Masai walked the rest of the way to my house in silence. Dark clouds started to cloud the as rain started up again. I flipped up my hood, pulling out an umbrella from my bag.

Masai put up his hands to cover his  head. "The weather seems to change a lot here a lot here," he grumpled.

I laughed. "You get use to it. Here." I held up the umbrella so both of us were covered as I started to enter the front garden. You could see the perk of the graveyard from behind the house and to the left.

Masai smiled. "Thanks. You seemed to be prepared."

I nodded. "It rains a lot here. You learn to carry an umbrella around with you everywhere," I said. I didn't mention that I also had my hood to be able to easily hide away my face. I never thought of myself pretty. Never cared either. Though Aria seems to target me heavily on it.

Masai laughed. "I'll keep that in mind."

I smiled up at him but didn't say anything. Masai was a few inches taller than me but then again I'm smaller than most people. I'm around five foot two so I'm guessing he was more like five foot six or seven.

I handed Masai the umbrella so I could open the door. He held it so that both of us could stay out of the rain. I glanced over at the graves that you could see pretty clearly before opening the door. I walked into the warm house. Masai closed the umbrella before ducking into the house after me. He sat the umbrella on the coat rack by the door and started to take off his jacket.

I headed straight for the kitchen, not bothering to take my sweatshirt or boots off. Masai followed curiously, sitting at the dinning table. "What are you doing?" He asked.

"Making hot cocoa. Thought you might want one to keep away the cold," I replied, not stopping from working on making the hot cocoa.

Masai smiled. "Thanks. Do you always make hot cocoa?" He asked.

I nodded. "Normally when it's cold. After I usually go out to train." The answer was simple. I had a certain daily routine that I followed everyday.

"Train?" Masai asked confused as I walked up and gave him a mug. I sat across the table with my own hot cocoa, taking a sip.

"Well you as the leader of the Omin should know the most about training. I've really improved since I first learned. And I need to keep my guard up, especially now." The last words came out as a snarled though I didn't mean to. It just was natural.

Masai sighed. "Because of me?" It was slightly less of a question. More of a conclusion though his voice was filled with sorrow.

I took another sip of my hot cocoa. "Not you particularly. I know a demon will try to kill me before I turn eighteen," I replied bored. I snapped my fingers to light the fire place.
