Chapter 31

     When you've seen as many messed up things as I have in your life you find that not a lot scares you anymore.

     So what does scared me? Depends on what you mean by that.

     I'm mentally scarred by Ōkami's, from when I was young. While I like there luxurious looks I try to keep my distance at all costs.

     You could also day I'm scared of dying. But then again, isn't everyone? Though killing someone else scares me in a similar sense.

     But then there's that short fear. Like I had for a certain Akumu who showed up at my school. Or a certain shadowcrafter that broke my shoulder the first time we met. Though let's be honest, I got over my fear of those two a long time ago.

     The bell for forth period to end rang. Instead of heading for the lunch room I went to the library. Just like my teachers, the librarian really doesn't care what I do.

     I pulled out my shadowcrafter book from my bag along with a protein bar. Fifth period I had a free period so I could stay in the library till sixth period.

     I opened up the book, flipping to the page talking about obumbratio's. I scanned the page to see where I left off before reading silently;

     While obumbratio's are very powerful they have many rules. An obumbratio is shadow bound, not able to actually walk and be in the actual world. Though they are able to contact certain people they have connections with.

     Plus it's impossible for a Tokubetsu of any kind to have a obumbratio. If a Tokubetsu obumbratio should exsist it could be the end of the three realms. Reality. Darkness. And demons.

     Though for all there rules they have incredible powers. No matter what kind of magic there human or demon self gas they always will have dark magic. Plus an obumbratio has access to any memory of it's human or demon self.

     I stopped. So that's how Ira knew about my Kiken bite! And about Tristan. But he still knows a lot. I continued to read;

    Though for there power obumbratio's were hunted down by angels so most of them are dead. They were rare before so now you have less than one percent chance of meeting an obumbratio during your life span.

     While obumbratio's have such great powers they are unable to becoming a Lord, no matter who there human or demon self is. For obumbratio's are unreliable of doing what needs to be done do to a certain thing of it's human or demon self.

    "What you reading?" A soft hand touched my shoulder.

     I dropped the book, jumping out of my chair to turn around. Shadows lingered around me but I was able to force myself to not call on my spear or sword.

     Masai jumped back surprised, putting his hands in the air to show he meant no harm. I sighed with relief when I saw it was just him, the shadows surrounding me drifting back to normal.

     "You nearly gave me a heart attack!" I snapped at him.

     Masai slowly put his hands back down, starting to laugh. "Sorry. I didn't mean to give you a scare."
