When you can see demons you tend to have strange beliefs. You believe in the paranormal, spirits, heaven and hell. Though I never believed in someone who could see the future.

Oracle's, prophecies, prophets... They all just seemed like something you would read in a book. Never something that would be real.

But can you really blame me? I mean, would you have believed it until you found out you were a prophet?

Though from the situation I'm at now I really, really wish all this seeing the future wasn't true. Than I wouldn't have to kill the one person I ever loved.

Tears pooled my eyes. For as much as I've been searching for the last prophet I regret finding out who it was.

"Kai? What's wrong?" Masai asked concerned.

"You're the last prophet," I whispered.

"Didn't you want to find out who the last prophet was?" Masai asked, not catching on to why I was upset.

"One betrays another, killing one. While one protects the dead but fails. One kills. One dies. One fails. Those are the roles. Tristan protects. I kill..."

"And I die," Masai finished. I nodded my head sadly.

Not only will Masai die but to know I would be the one who killed him tortured me.

"This, right here, is the prophecy. And there's no way to change it," I said.

I turned to look at Masai. A tear rolled down my cheek.

     "Please, forgive me," I muttered.

In a swift movement I reached and grabbed Masai's hand, pulsing poisoned magic into his bloodstream. With a death by poisoned magic... I may be able to save him.

Masai screamed in pain, crumbling onto his knees.

I closed my eyes, my heart aching. Just a few more seconds. Just wait a few more seconds, then I can save him.

I opened my eyes again, looking down at Masai's crumpled body laying on the stone tiles. By now he would be considered dead but knowing the poison he was still very much alive.

I started to lean down to touch Masai with my healing magic. Acting quick enough I could push away the poison. And then this would all be over.

"Get away from him!" Tristan shouted at me, an ice sword weaved with light magic in hand.

I stood up and turned to face him. "Tristan, calm down," I said calmly even though I was broken inside. I couldn't show weakness.

"Calm down? You're a murderer! You will pay for your crimes!" Tristan shouted angrily and ran at me.

Normally I would of fought back but I couldn't. Tristan was Masai's friend. And I needed to get to him before it's too late.

I jumped back, making sure I jumped over Masai. Before Tristan could trip over the lifeless body I made it dissolve into shadows and reappear out of the way.
