I've never actually seen someone get killed before. Well, someone human or in a human shape. Though now I have. And it's terrifying.

I saw my parents died, ya but that was from a diesese not an actual murderer. And I've technically killed four demons already but that was in self defense so does it really count?

The town I live in has always been pretty peaceful. We tend to not have a lot of crimes and criminals. Accasionally a little petty theft but nothing big.

But Masai's father... It makes me wonder how many deaths he's seen. How many he's caused. How many he's suffered.

I jolted upwards, making Masai jump with surprise. My breathing was heavy and jagged and my skin was much paler than it should be. My whole body was shaking.

Masai looked at me concerned. "Are you ok?" He asked.

All I could do was shake my head. I seemed to be at a lost of words. All I could think about was the scene I had seen right before I woke up.

"What just happened?" Masai asked, helping me stand up.

"L... Light magic," I stammered. Masai looked at me confused.

"What do you mean light magic?" He asked.

I stared at the floor. My eyes couldn't really focused on anything and my head ached from when I fell.

"When I touched you. I entered one of your memories. Probably the memory you were just thinking of."

Masai sighed. "The oracle?" He asked.

I nodded, my body still shaking tremendously

"I'm sorry you had to see that. It wasn't my happiest memories," Masai muttered.

I looked up at him, finally calming down. "How were you able to stay so calm?" I asked.

"I told you my father was a tyrant. That wasn't the first death I witnessed him cause and it wasn't my last," Masai said quietly.

"I'm guessing you never found out what the oracle told your father?" I asked carefully.

Masai shrugged. "I figured it was something ruthless. I mean, it's my father."

I shook my head. "It was about you," I said, voice finally recovered fully.

Masai looked at me surprised. "About me? What kind of vision about me would make my father that angry?" He asked.

I swallowed the lump forming in my throat. "The oracle said you would fall in love with a mortal and claim her as your queen."

Masai grew even more surprised. "A mortal?!" Masai shouted.

I nodded. "That's what the oracle's vision was," I said.

Masai groaned. "Why does everything have to be so complicated!" He mumbled.

I laughed. "Now you know how I feel!"
