The Legend Of The Tokubetsu

Chapter 2: rules of magic

Technically a Tokubetsu has every magic. They normal skill in what kind of magic there demon has and finds it easier to control. Catherine, the second Tokubetsu, was mainly skilled in light and dark magic. That pieces of each of her brothers to make equality between both the demon and human realm. Furthermore with more research it was shown that nearly all Tokubetsu's also highly skilled in the opposite type of magic than there demon and were able to mix them together to make a new element special to themselves. The stronger the two types of magic the more powerful the combo will be with light and dark magic being the highest and green and wind magic being the lowest. Most Tokubetsu seemed to be in the middle around poisoned and healed magic.

It was the first time I fully saw the Omin. As I took a step through the gates the darkness seemed to disperse and I stepped on to a grassy hill outlook a kingdom. The farthest away from us was a shining black castle, encrusted with silver lining and black diamonds that glinted in the sunlight. It seemed that the time system didn't work the same as the human realm since it seemed to be only noon at the latest while back at the human realm it would have to be five or six by now. Masai was slightly in front of me, looking over his kingdom. He now had blue galaxy looking wings, fulfilling him to his full form. He turned his head to look at me and froze. He turned around to fully face me, looking me up and down.

I looked down at myself. My hair flew into my face. It was now black and the tips we're dyed crimson instead of the azul blue. I was now wearing a silver cloak with red symbols that I recognized from my Tsuki. I was wearing a deep toned downed blue shirt that was cut high to show a dark red shirt underneath to meet my long black pants. The symbol for Tsuki was shown near my collar bone. I could feel cat like ears and a tail hidden with my cloak. I blinked, suddenly realizing how clear I could see. Every little detail. Just like when I was a Tsuki. I bit my lip. Masai was still staring at me, eyes slightly wider than normal. I couldn't read his emotions. Scared? Quizzical? Confused? Amazed? They all looked the same.

I smiled shyly. A necklace hanged around my neck, hidden under my cloak. It was a black diamond carved into a present moon and little rubies outlining it. I strangely recognized it from my childhood but I'm not internally sure why. I swallowed. "You have a demon form," I said, signaling to his wings. "I guess I got my own as well." I didn't know what else to say. I quickly pulled out my phone, turning it to camera to look at myself. My eyes were red and had the slight affect that they were glowing. Figures. I looked back up at Masai, slowly putting my phone away into my cloak. Masai stared at me for a bit before turning back to the kingdom.

I turned to look at the kingdom once again. With my demon form I could see even the smallest details. The landscape was beautiful. A snowy mountain laid behind the castle, leading into nothing. The grass was bright green and the sun was set perfectly to make everything seem like it was sparkling. I could spot a single cloud in the sky and yet I didn't feel overheated by the sun. Probably due to my cold magic. A soft breeze brushed up against my face, bringing the oroma of cherry blossoms. A few children ran around the street as the parents talked among themselves.

A boy ran up to us. He looked around maybe ten. His hair was a flashing almost whitish which were fixing next to his light silver ears and tail. I recognized it as a Kitsune. The boy ran to Masai but stopped to look at me. His eyes widened with joy then he looked back at Masai and bowed. "Lord Masai. You have returned. Welcome back." I couldn't help but smile at how civilized he was. In the human realm at this age they would be thinking about anything but there Lord. The boy look at me and bowed. "I don't think I've seen you around. Welcome to the Omin," he said cheerfully.
