The Crystals Emerge

Chapter 4: A Rainy Day

Xavier got out of bed and looked in the mirror. He looked at his blue eyes, his white skin, and his poofy dark brown hair. Xavier went downstairs and ate breakfast then got ready for school. Xavier is home schooled, and he has learning disabilities so he finishes his work early.

"Okay. Zona and Haze are coming over around 6. The reason that Zona and Haze are coming over is that Joshua said that he would give them information about the Crystals. Now what should I do in the meantime?" said Xavier.

Joshua's Crystal started to glow. "What now?" said Xavier.

Joshua came out of his Crystal. "You need to get this Crystal now."

"Another one?" said Xavier. "But we just caught one yesterday."

"Yeah, so?" said Joshua.

"Where do I need to go?" said Xavier.

"You need to go to Friendly Village,"said Joshua.

"Okay.But how am I supposed to get there?"

Xavier heard his mom's footsteps coming closer.Xavier quickly grabbed Joshua's Crystal and threw it. Xavier's mom walked in.

"Just letting you know I'm going to Friendly Village to visit a friend."

"Can I go?"

"Why?You are just going to get bored there."

"I know, I know. I just really want to go."

"Okay,let's go then."

Xavier and his mom arrived at Friendly Village."Are you coming inside?"said Xavier's mom.

"No,"said Xavier. "Can I walk around the town?"

"Sure,. just come back at four, okay?"

"Okay," said Xavier. Xavier was looking for the Crystal for two hours "Joshua,where is that Crystal you were talking about?"

"It's around here somewhere."

The clouds started to get dark. "They weren't calling for rain today,"said Xavier. Suddenly, he heard laughing. "What is that noise?"

"It's a Cloud Crystal." said Joshua.

"How are we going to kill it?" said Xavier.

"Here,take this," Joshua pulled out a torch out of his hand. "Each Crystal has a power. I have the power of fire, and I can give you torches."

"Why didn't you tell me this?"

"I don't know, you never brought it up. Here, it's a flaming torch."

It started to downpour. There was lightning and thunder. Xavier's torch immediately went out. He heard a cry. Joshua was getting put out by the rain.

"What can I do?" said Xavier.

"Tell Jacob to come out."

"Who's Jacob?"

"Jacob is the blue Crystal."

Xavier grabbed the blue crystal and threw it on the ground. Jacob popped out of it.

"What's going on?" said Jacob.

"Joshua is getting put out by the rain. We need you to take care of the crystal for us," said Xavier.

"Why should I?" said Jacob. "I hate Joshua so why would I help him?"

"Because he is your brother. Brothers always have fights, but they don't just watch their brother get hurt. You need to help him."

"Fine, I will. Where is the crystal?"

The white Crystal came out of a cloud and slowly came down. "I am right here," said the white Crystal. She was made of clouds. Her hair went down to her ankles and her eyes were watery teardrops.

"You're UGLY," said Jacob. "But I'll put you out of your misery, so don't worry"

The white Crystal got a big frown on her face. "You better take that back."

"Why should I?"

"That's it, you asked for this." The white Crystal made tornadoes, flooded the streets, and blew so that houses, cars, everything was getting destroyed.

"Do something!" said Xavier.

Jacob grabbed all the water that was around him. He became so big and powerful that he was bigger than a skyscraper; Jacob's fist came right down on the white Crystal. She screeched in pain. Jacob absorbed her into him. The Crystal was the only thing left of her. Xavier grabbed the Crystal and Joshua's Crystal.

"Thanks,"said Xavier.

"Whatever,"said Jacob. He went back into his Crystal. Xavier grabbed Jacob's Crystal, too.

"Cool,now I have three," said Xavier. "I better get back to the house.My mom must be so worried about me."

"Thank goodness you are safe."

"I'm okay, Mom, sorry," said Xavier.

"Good, Let's go home."

Xavier and his mom got home. It was around 5 . Xavier waited a bit then he heard a knock on the door. It was Zona and Haze.

"Hey guys," said Xavier. "Let's go upstairs." All three of them went upstairs. Xavier explained what happened earlier.

"Wow,are you okay?" said Zona.

"I'm fine." said Xavier. "Okay, you guys ready for some answers?"

"Yeah,"said Zona and Haze.

"Okay,"Xavier threw the crystal on the ground. Joshua came out of it.

"Let's get started."
